Heard so much hype about this place we had to go. I gave it a 2 rating only because of the setting was absolutely beautiful. Got there slightly early for our reservation but the staff was in disarray and we waited to be seated for a while. Our entrees consisted of snapper for my wife and flank steak for me.... More

We are very disheartened that you had this kind of experience, and especially on Valentine's Day. I have shared your comments with our Director of Food and Beverage as well as our Director of Restaurants. They are very open to a direct call to get more information and discuss in detail. 800-535-9547. Again we apologize. More

Enjoyed our delicious lunch and the top notch service. We had a sandwich and a salad and both were good. Also the bread served was excellent.

We are happy to hear you had a nice dining experience. We appreciate the review. Just a tidbit, the vegetable bread recipe from Crane has been published in several cookbooks. More

Had a delightful lunch here on a gorgeous day at a table outdoors, shaded by a colonnade porch, serenaded by a splashing fountain (try your hand at tossing a coin onto the top layer). We were looking for light fare and had our fill with the shrimp salad, butternut squash soup (delicious), sweet potato fries, and hot tea. Couldn't have... More

This restaurant is a jewel. I know it sounds silly, but the table bread is the best anywhere and I eat a whole loaf by myself everytime.

The bread at the Courtyard at Crane IS freshly baked by our pastry chef and it is called vegetable bread. I strongly agree with you, it is the best! So glad you enjoyed it and the restaurant. More

What a find! This gem at the Jekyll Island Club made our vacation extra special. From the attentive service that Gabriela gave us, to the food, to the ambiance of the room in the back by the fireplace - this is definitely a place I would come back and dine at. For the appetizers, we shared the crab cakes, braised... More

Crane Cottage is a very unique building-a historic mansion built by Richard Teller Crane Jr. in the early 1900's making it part of the National Historic Landmark District. We were fortuante to be able to turn part of it into a restaurant that may be enjoyed as you so positivley pointed out!! We appreciate it. Please return soon. More

The Crane offers a more intimate dining experience than the grand dining room in the main hotel. The food is excellent and the vegetarian option for one of us proved most impressive. Prices are on the high side but worth it.

Food was delivered in a leisurely manner. We share food and they split the items, which was nice. The crab cakes had plenty of crab, but could have been a bit better with lumps of white meat. The salad was ok, but the onion a bit much. The shrimp and scallops with risotto was excellent.

Came here for lunch and had a great experience. The food was really good and the service was also excellent. Similar to the Grand Dining Room they have a relaxed dress code at lunch. Would not hesitate to eat here again.

What a beautiful setting and romantic main dining room near a fireplace. Many seductive menu options to choose from but my girlfriend and I opted for the pork osso bucco (fall off the bone tender and meaty) in a tomato based sauce with fresh asparagus. She had the seared duck in a delicious ginger puree sauce. A glass of champagne... More

The atmosphere at the Courtyard at Crane is truly romantic-especially this time of year as you noted, with the fireplaces burning. Please be assured that we have passed your comments on to the manager of the restaurant and... More

The Courtyard at Crane, Jekyll Island, a less formal dining option, is located in the center courtyard and loggia of the historic Crane Cottage. The cottage, designed in 1917 by Chicago architects Adler and Dangler, was inspired by an Italian Renaissance villa admired by Richard T. Crane Jr., the original owner. Guests are offered the option of dining inside or outside.
