OMG this place is amazing! My husband and I didn’t know what we wanted so I told the gal working the register I wanted something chocolatey with some kind of chunks like brownie in a waffle bowl and she asked me if I trust her and recommended a brownie in a waffle bowl with chocolate ice cream and hot fudge. So thats what we got with whipped cream on top. That was DELICIOUS!!!! The staff were so nice and helpful and even though it was insanely busy being the 4th of July, they happily served us. The ice cream is legit amazing! I HIGHLY recommend this place.

This is literally by far the best location to purchase and enjoy a variety of homemade ice creams, yogurts, and choices of ice cream infused with alcohol. Everything is made on site store is operated by the owners who are very gracious and congenial. They explained the process and choices so well. Worth the drive if you're in the area. Definitely better than any of the other ice cream shops in Helen or dairy Queens.

Delicious ice cream, fast service, helpful employees.
Helped each customer picking their flavor, they also have “adult” flavors for older people! Everything from scoops to floats to shakes, 10/10 place.

In a place where wineries are a plenty. The idea of ice cream flights and alcohol infused ice cream in my opinion is just plain genius. When you combine that with the great taste of the different flavors it is a hit you will want to come back to time and again. We went twice in our week long trip here. They also take in stray cats and care for them, feeding them and creating a place for them to stay under an outdoor stair well. This isn't something they have to do but it is a nice touch and shows the type of people that operate this establishment.

Excellent ice cream with a wide variety of options. While we ate, the proprietor sat out with us and told about the history of the place and the several awards they have won the last 3 years. Great experience. Would definitely recommend.

Hands down the best ice cream shop in Helen! It is over by the Cool River Tubing side of town. It is a small shop but the ice cream is amazing!! I got the salted caramel and my husband got chocolate. They have flavors with alcohol in them. They also have non-dairy flavors as well. It hit the spot on a hot summer day. Service was fast and friendly.

We stopped in with our best buddies last night and had a great chat with the owners. They let us sample their adult flavors and told us their story. Such a wonderful place! We really enjoyed the mud slide and bourbon caramel pecan both were delicious. We left wishing we could have stayed longer but they were closing and though they didn’t rush us out we didn’t want to hold them up. Thank you for a wonderful experience ❤️

We have stopped by Das Ice Cream about 4 times now in the last year and we really enjoy their selection of home made flavors. They make them up fresh and experiment with new flavors. We are not interested in the alcohol infused ice creams but they have that for those that want that. The owners are very kind and they let you try different flavors before you order.

So they make their own recipes and ice cream on site. I had the Strawberry Fields which came in 2nd in a National contest and was terrific. The Vanilla praline pecan was very good but the Oreo was the best I have ever had. The owners are so nice and interesting. They gave us samples of Chocolate Lava and Jack and Coke from their Adult Ice Cream and they were very good. Just a neat place!

If you like all kinds of icecream, and I mean all kinds make your that you stop by Das Icecream Cafe and say hello to Dee and Maria.
First of all Dee and Maria are awesome folks and they always greet you with a big smile.
I love "Spaghetti Eis" so much and guess what? You can find Spaghetti Eis right there.
I love it so much I tell everyone about this wonderful place.
I have a YouTube channel (see title above in the title}. I brought several people to Das Icecream Cafe in the past but as recently as last weekend. Once you visit Das Icecream Cafe you will want to tell the world as well. :) :).

We stumbled upon this brand new ice cream shop while looking for a dinner spot. Dessert is a must for me, and we are so happy we found them! They are about 1/4 mile from the busiest part of Helen, and that makes it a little easier to get to! They had unique flavors- the hazelnut, Alpine berry, Black Forest we’re all so delicious! This is not store-bought quality.....although Mayfield and Bryers are amazing, these people absolutely have a solidly incredible ice cream. We visited again this evening, because the plague of 2020 has been hard on everyone, but this treat brings a little bit of normal back to our lives! Super friendly folks who have been in the area for decades, they gave us tips on other places to try and fun things to do while we are here! We will return every time we visit Helen!

The owners Maria and D.are pleasant and friendly. They serve ice cream with product knowledge and attitude of helpfulness and make every customer feel at home. The ice cream was creamy and flavorful. The German styled coffee was yummy. And the adult ice cream was tasty too! I went back 3 times during the day for their tasty treats! I got the alcohol infused Helen Mud slide and thought it was really good, got the Oreo traditional ice cream too. Yummy as well! Then they showed us a German coffee that was called Rudesheimer which has a liquor in it and lit on fire!

Nice little ice cream shop with some unique flavors of ice cream. They have some alcohol infused ice cream, dairy free and sugar free options. I had the Honey Lavender ice cream. It was different, but very good. They do let you sample flavors.

All ice cream is house made. There are flavors for children and adults (alcohol infused).
My hubby got a chocolate milkshake, my son got the chocolate with sprinkles and I got butter pecan. All delicious!!! It’s definitely worth a stop!!

We went for their “spaghetti” ice cream and also grabbed some extra flavors once we got there. The ice cream was divine. All natural flavors and so delicious. We got to spend some time talking with one of the owners and it made the visit even better. Highly recommend!
