Glad we stopped! It was neat to read the history of Truett Cathy and the Dwarf House as well as how Chick Fil A was developed out of that. They have a little red door that's fun to walk through and a neat statue of Truett Cathy. We ate at the Dwarf House diner and sat at the bar. The... More

The original Chick-fil-A, enough said. They deliver food to your table, but otherwise it's a pretty much like the others. The history on the walls is worth the drive to find it. Great story about the very successful fast food company.

This Chick Fil A original is about 15 minutes from Hartsfeld Intl Airport. Step in the door and step back in time 4-5 decades. The front "diner" section still offers sit down, table service. The servers are folksy friendly. Your iced tea glass won't go dry! The diner has the basic Chick Fil A menu. I did notice some additional... More

Such a cool little place! We visited here for lunch during our trip to Atlanta. It was so neat to see where Chick-Fil-A got it's start. There is two sides to the restaurant, a regular chick-fil-a counter and seating, and a sit-down & service (diner style). They have pretty much a normal menu with added homemade sides. The Mac &... Unfortunately, Dwarf House didn't live up to the high standards set by the Chick-fil-a chain. There are two sides: a regular Chick-fil-a area and then the original 'Dwarf House' area. We sat at the bar on the Dwarf House side. They offer the regular menu plus other classics. It felt a bit grimy. The prices were high for what we... More

Wow! What a great experience ... seeing where it all began. Great service and awesome food. My husband and I were in the area and knew we couldn't miss this ... so glad we visited.

What a cool place. There are two different restaurants in one building. Walk through the front and you have an old-school diner with a different menu than the traditional Chick-fil-a. On the other side you have a modern chick-fil-a counter. You can eat at either one. Great food and service.

We are huge Chick-Fil-A fans, so we knew we had to stop at the Dwarf House when we were driving through Atlanta. We ate in the diner portion of the restaurant. The menu was very diverse and included CFA classics (chicken sandwich, nuggets, milkshakes), previously retired menu items (coleslaw, carrot 'n' raisin salad), and items original to the Dwarf House... We enjoyed eating here. The food was standard Chic-fil-a, and the service was good as we normally experience. The best part was reading the placards on the wall about the history of the chain. The neighborhood is a little sketchy.

Description
Welcome to the Hapeville Dwarf House, home of Chick-fil-A! On May 26, 1946, Truett Cathy and his brother Ben Cathy opened up a small restaurant in Hapeville, Georgia called the Dwarf Grill. What started out as a small dream turned into over 2,000 restaurants nationwide. 70 years and one name change later, the Hapeville Dwarf House is thriving today. Unlike your typical Chick-fil-A, the Hapeville Dwarf House has a full-service side and is open 24 hours, 6 days a week. But, don't worry, you can find everything you love on Chick-fil-A's menu here, plus some. Come on in for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or even a Midnight snack. We'll be open (except on Sunday's)! NEW! We Cater! Whether it's a business meeting, event, or family reunion, you name it, we can cater it! Check out our website for our catering menu.
