Decent Tex-Mex

This is an OK mexican Tex- Mex restaurant if that is what you are looking for, especially where it is located. We prefer authentic mexican restaurants and there are plenty to be found not too far away from this restaurant. What we have found is most Tex-Mex locations have a high amount of salt added to the food and this was the case here and not uncommon. With that being said, and if you can overlook that, we enjoyed the dinner we had at this location which is not far away and convienient tfor us.

Delicious food and friendly wait staff

Our group of seven came in for lunch on Sunday and the place was packed. They quickly got our orders and brought back refills of chips and salsa while we waited about 20 minutes for food. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious! Highly recommend this location!

I went to eat there during the holidays and it was one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants I have ever been to my server was karla and she was very sweet and friendly I had a great experience

Long wait. Rude staff. Subpar food. Never again.

Went for family dinner and will never be back again. After waiting 15 minutes for a waiter to come get our drink order, we had to ask hostess if we could please have drinks. After 5 more minutes, we finally had a waiter approach our table. When our food came out, we noticed that our son's order was completely wrong. He wanted mini cheese quesadllias and they brought him grilled chicken and fries. We told the lady that brought our food it was wrong and what we ordered. After asking yet again, the waiter brought back a grilled chicken quesadilla. I told him it was wrong yet again, and he proceeded to argue with me and told me not to be rude. Definitely wasn't being rude...I was telling him yet again what we ordered. Finally, another lady brought the correct order and asked what we ordered. I told her again, mini cheese quesadillas. I'm not sure why that was so difficult. Kids shouldn't have to wait 15-20 additional minutes after everyone else gets their food to eat. My father I law ordered a steak burrito and got beef instead. My husband's shrimp burrito still had a shrimp tail in the burrito. And my mother in laws order wasn't good. Neither was mine. My daughter didn't even touch her food. Bill ended up being around $45. I asked the lady when we paid if we get a discount since his meal was wrong so many times...and she gave us $5 off...which was less than the cost of the kids meal. Not worth spending an hour and a half at the restaurant for disgusting food and dealing with rude/dismissive staff. They should do the community a favor and close. I'm sure Taco Bell has better customer service than they do.

I don’t know why we keep going

I don’t know why we keep going back and giving them one more chance. They say “check your order before you leave”. Why should the customer take every item out of the bag and open the container to make sure the kitchen gets the order correct. This Senor Fiesta location might get the takeout order correct about 50% of the time. Food quality not that good. Ordered fajitas carne and pollo for latest takeout. Appeared to be a whole onion, three strips of green pepper and no tomatoes. Left out the tortillas completely.

Do Not follow Covid protocol

That said, we have regularly been getting takeout from both the Cleveland Hwy and the Jesse Jewell stores since Covid began. On my last two pick ups, one from each store, the restaurant manager was not wearing a mask. Half the staff (I had time to stand there and actually count since I had to wait for my food which was not ready when it was supposed to be) had their masks on below their nose. If the manager is not bothering to wear a mask, why should his staff? The bartender took her mask off and on constantly when she was talking. One of the cooks I could see did not have his mask covering his nose. If they are openly not following Covid mask protocol, what else is going on in the behind the scenes?? I will no longer be ordering and picking up food from there as I do not feel safe. Not to mention that most of the patrons were not wearing masks entering the restaurant, and at the Cleveland Hwy store they are not reducing the number of tables and customers are just on top of each other as ever.

Incompetent management

I went there for dinner tonight I asked for no pico on my to go burritos. I get home and it had pico. I called to complain and ask for the manager. The lady that answered the phone said oh well I guess that’s me. I told her the problem and with absolutely no apology she told me I could rake it off or come back in get it replaced. If I rake it off I lose the nacho cheese and red sauce which did want, not to mention it was in the rice as well. I said I don’t even know what to say. She said well if you don’t know what to say what do you want me to say? I said how about you be a little bit more apologetic? She said I’m not the cook what do you want me to do? I wanted her to do her job and be sympathetic to the customer and handle the situation. If you don’t know how to be a manager you should not be a manager.I would’ve taken the credit for later or went back and got a corrected meal but the fact is if she doesn’t care anymore about it then just tell me a rake it off because she knows what it looks like then I don’t even wanna have anything more to do with that business at all. The only reason I gave him a two instead of one as a rating is because the food is actually good enough I drove past other Mexican restaurants to get there. I’ll never be back.

The food today tasted like it came off a Salt Truck.

Been coming here for several years but lately it's hit or miss on a good meal. Both of our orders were so salty, I thought it was a Get Back or a joke by some staff member. Also, didn't get a very good feeling going up to the entrance and being greeted, I guess, by a young male who was dressed like a LA hood member with his cap turned to one side! We drove several miles just to eat here, may think twice next time. Too old for the non-sence.

Waited an hour and 20 minutes

Waited an hour and 20 minutes for a carry out order with zero apology from a manager or even an offer to return and let them make it right. Bartender said the manager was coming and he/she never came. Thankfully they have the sign up that says check your order because the order was wrong. Ridiculous

Do not order take out

For years we have eaten from here, not any more food quality is hit or miss. DO NOT ORDER TAKE OUT. We have had multiple experiences with missing items. It apparently is a problem because they put up a sign to check your order before you leave because they probably did not. Keep driving, there are better options.

management is rude and condescending to customers!

I have visited this restaurant several times and every time I have visited it has gotten gradually worse on food quality and service. But today the two managers on duty treated my friend and I like second class citizens! W hen we got there, we asked to sit by window and was given an attitude by hostess. We then waited 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and that only happened when I saw a manager on his phone! I told him that we had been waiting for 15 minutes and he looked like i was bothering his call! Then we get overcharged for drinks! We told the manager, and he fixed it with an attitude! {rolling eyes, look of disgust} He then accused my friend of cussing out waitress! I left her a tip and didn't cuss her out Finally as I am paying, I tell the manager he was rude and that he should treat customers better. He proceeds to throw my card at me and tells me to leave! WE LEFT and this is the result!

Kind of good food but lack of professionalism in service

The food was not bad but not great. However considering the area, I was surprised. However, the waitress staff were nice, but clueless when it came to providing ample plates to put food on - for example- ordered a fajita dish that came with three dishes to make the fajita, but no empty dish to construct it on. I also dined with a person that was hard of hearing and very limited eyesight. I told the waitress, but she did not cater to his handicap.

It's OK

This is your typical Tex-Mex restaurant. Cheese dip and nachos are good. The biggest issue with this place is the food never seems to be served hot especially the steak and chicken. It's always lukewarm.

Not a good night...

We have been going to this restaurant since it opened several years ago, and the food has always been anywhere between pretty good and excellent. Mostly excellent. Great menu, good prices, and for the most part, good service. This was not the case for our most recent visit. Even thought the restaurant was not particularly busy at the later hour we were there, it took a long time to even get a menu or some drinks. We asked to be seated outside, and there was a large table out there with us, it still tool much longer than we expected. Then, when our waitress started paying attention to us, she was distant, detached, and seemed distracted. Then, when we complained at the end of the meal, the staff on duty seemed defensive. I’m not going to name names, because I think that’s cheap, but it was very disappointing. But the food was still good. But the outdoor seating leads me to what we asked to be seated there in the first place. The last few times we have been there, we have been very uncomfortable with the low temperature in the dining room. It’s late summer in Georgia, and nobody is wearing jackets or long sleeves. So for the AC to be blasting to the max is really unnecessary. To make it worse with the many fans that are all running at the same time - especially if you’re seated right underneath - make it truly miserable unless you’re some kind of sweathog. And because there is no way to turn them off (the pull cord only turns off the light), you pretty much have to eat as fast as you can and head outside. We’ve even had to go outside during the meal to warm up. So please! We love your food. We know that anybody can have a bad night! But we think you really need to do something about the climate control, at least in the summertime. We can’t be the only ones who feel this way.

Flavorful food with colorful ambiance

Although this restaurant opened fairly recently, it already has a devoted following. The restaurant was busy when we stopped in with a group for a weekday lunch, but we still got fast service. The food tasted great, with fresh ingredients, large portions, and a reasonable price. As the dining area got fuller, the room got noisier, but overall we had a good meal.
