Best Bartender Ever!!

OMG I had the best time at Pelican Pete's. Chips and salsa could have used some work, but my bartender Mona made the experience so much better by recommending a better appetizer and making sure it was perfect. Will definitely be coming back to Pete's for her and the hot pretzels!

They have expanded and changed

They have expanded and changed the menu. While the food was good it was not worth the prices we paid. Service was good. Need a lunch special menu or some kind of value menu. $37.00 plus tip for lunch was pretty pricey for fish and chips and a salad. We had water to drink.

First time going this year the food was excellent the whole place is still in the expansion mode but the food came out quickly, hot and had great service. Definitely coming back. We’ve been patronizing this place since it first opened and it’s taking a long time and it’s finally reached the point where I would call it a restaurant.

Shrimp

Pete's spent the entire winter remodeling, so I expected big things! My favorite thing on the menu was shrimp. The peel and eat were firm and big, and the fried were lightly breaded and plump. No more fried shrimp, and the peel and eat are mushy and small. Even the chicken tenders shrunk by half. This is not the same quality I expected!

Terrible experience

Not sure what was going on but this dinner was the worst. Got The text that our table was ready went up to the hostess stand and standing there were 3 people who had no idea what was going on. Then one asked if we wanted a table..... We sit down and waited over 15 minutes and had to ask 2 people to help us. Then our food came out cold, over cooked, stale pita bread and wrong orders. It wasn't that difficult, we had 4 hamburgers and a falafel with fries. The only thing that was correct and tasted good was the bar drinks, that we got at the bar. Very disappointing to have friends from out of town here to experience this fiasco.

Not worth the Drive

Lunch with the wife here today. Location is off the beaten path but on the lake so nice ambience. Service was good. Food was mediocre - Lobster roll was 7/10 fish tacos were bland with no flavor and the fries were just average.

Hub bun of activity but one wonders why?

The place was packed on a sat afternoon with some live music. Menu items and drinks are overpriced to this captive audience on the lake. Wait staff did the bare minimum. Find another lake spot to hang out is my recommendation

Unique lake restaurant!

This is the only floating restaurant on Lanier which is pretty neat! The entire restaurant is outdoors, but it felt very good with the breeze. We ordered the Pete’s hot chicken sandwich and the blackened salmon spinach salad. Both were very tasty, and I highly recommend.

The best thing about Pelican Pete's is the location on Lake Lanier. It is very nice to sit under their open ceiling and watch the boats and water activity. The food is good. I would like to see more seafood options. We were there for lunch and will try them again for dinner.

View of the lake

Had a hard time finding a parking spot.The wait was so long,and it was scary with so many people not wearing masks.Several people brought their dogs, the restaurant allows pets..we sat close to someone who brought a huge dog,it kept shaking it's body,and had fur flying all over us.The place was busy,it took a while for someone to take our order.The food was not anything worth talking about.There are no condiments on the table,you have to ask for sugar,salt,or pepper...with the waitress busy...you would be done with your meal before you get what you asked for.The view is what we would go back for,not the food,not the service ,or the animal fur in your food.

First time to this area of GA. Staying Cumming, GA.for one night and asked desk clerk of places to eat on Lake Lanier. This was one she recommended. Drove out here, about 12 miles from our hotel in Cumming. Right on the lake, turn in where sign says Port Royale Community. Great atmosphere and right o the lake. Getting very busy, the start of Memorial Day weekend. Nice menu and good selection of beers. I had the chicken fingers, wife had the Mahi Fish sandwich. Enjoyed both meals and the views of the lake and boats was great.

Delightful staff delish food

We did get to go to PP's and we had a delightful time. I took my wife and mother-in-law. The receptionist noticed my mother-in-law was using a cane, so she's walked at a pace my mother-in-law could keep up. Our server was great and all the food was delish. Pelican Pete's has a great kitchen. Any server walking by would pick up an empty dish or fill water glasses - hallmark of a good staff - and all so pleasant. One server who remembered us from a previous meal at PP's asked how we have been. Good job on the management and thank you for having such a nice restaurant! We'll be back.

Great Atmosphere!

Went here with a bunch of neighbors. Super fun atmosphere. I had buffalo wings and they were pretty good. Everyone else’s quantities looked good as well. I would definitely go back!

We went for lunch. The restaurant was a little hard to find. Signage could be better. We split a hamburger. Very pricey for half!
