We love BBQ and are local. Sorry folks..this place is terrible. The bbq often has too much vinegar and very little taste. The buns just as bad. There are too many other great places for BBQ to waste your money here.

I popped in here one evening for the first time to grab a few pulled pork sandwiches to go. It's a very quaint, comfortable atmosphere perfectly suitable for dining in, with a country front porch feel of sorts. The two girls behind the counter were very friendly and had my sandwiches ready to go within a few minutes. At $4... More

Based on a recommendation from Norman Reedus on one of his episodes of Ride With Norman Reedus we stopped by Walkers on our way back from the casino in Cherokee, NC. We were mainly going for the fried pies since that was what he put the most emphasis on. First of all, not all pies were available since this was... More

Stopped in for take out BBQ and ordered two plate meals. The menu advertised a meal with two sides. Unfortunately, when we arrived back to our cabin and opened our meal containers, both meals had been shorted one side each. So I guess if you order take out, this restaurant feels the need to be dishonest in the food service... More

A friend recommended we try this place for bbq and fried pies. It was close to the cabin where we were staying. We came a little after six on a Friday night and were pleased to see that the place had live bluegrass music playing between 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock. The band grew from a fiddle, bass and guitar... Since there are so many BBQ places around up here, easy to do comparison. Had the combo platter with 2 ribs, pulled chicken, and pulled pork. None of these very good, compared to some others up here. However, biscuit was great, sides were good. Fried apple pie the best (with ice cream even better!) They have live music on Friday... More

Was up in the area, and saw they had moved into a building next door to where they used to be located, and thought why not? I had a BBQ Plate with slaw and stew, and it came with a biscuit type roll. It was all good. With a drink, it was about $10 bucks, so the price is okay... More

We visited this place because we noticed all of the local cars around it. But for me, I'll never go back. It wasn't clean at all and there was 1 bathroom that was pretty nasty. The barbeque was not worth it for me to go back and have again.

Decent bbq, really good fried pies (I had blueberry)- they have a softer, puffier crust than regular pie crust and a delicious, rich fruit filling and are served with a scoop of ice cream. A definite must-try. This seemed like a real local place, very small... there was a table of old timers at one table hanging out with some... More
