I went in for lunch with a co-worker (just the 2 of us) on Saturday 6/4/22. I had a fried shrimp sandwich & she had a Caesar Salad w/shrimp. 1 alcoholic drink each and it came to $82.45. I left a cash tip before I...realized they had already added a $17 tip??? I reside in Boston where the cost of living is high but in no way as high as Spondivits. And why they adding their own tip? Defeats it's purpose and I could understand if it were a party of 8 or more. The food is ok but not like it use to be as I have been there years ago and never have I seen food prices so inflated. I will never be retuning and will surely tell everyone I can.More

Not what it used to be. Ripped off. Check was wrong and I even had to even ask for the menu. I just did not want to make a scene on a Saturday night. Quality was also not what it used to be. I think...this is the last time. Used to come once a month. Not anymore.end of an Era. See u never againMore

For all the hype, meh. Clams way over cooked, no taste to oysters, soup salty. If I am being charged 27 bucks for a bowl of chowder, it should move my world. This just made me want to move from this restaurant. Not sure I...appreciated having the restaurant decide my tip amount for a party of four . They must be doing something right, busy every might but for me, way over priced and way over cooked.More

If you have a little time before flying out of Atlanta, or before you leave Atlanta, this is a great place to relax and enjoy an OUTSTANDING meal. I personally order the Lobster bucket every time but those with me also rave about the other...food selections.More

Rather than get the fried shrimp at Spondivit’s again, I’ll save my money next time and go to Captain D’s. Service was fine once we attracted someone’s attention, and the food was hot. Lousy $11 baked potato if you care to get one. Just know...you’ll have to box up the fries and take them home. Expensive.More

Surprisingly good, authentic and fun! The seafood was fresh and delicious. The chowder, oysters on the half shell and bucket of king crab legs were excellent. The service was fast, friendly and fun. The staff was courteous, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a good...time. The live music was a bonus. Parking is a little bit of a challenge. Try across the street.More

We used to go there on regular basis for years when in Atlanta. Most of the staff is friendly, except our waitress. Apparently there are not substitutions allowed any longer.I French fries for baked potato, grilled fried chicken for grilled chicken on a salad not...possible. You get a default 20% gratuity added to your bill the moment you reach 50 dollars. The food is average at the best and on the greasy side. Not worth it neither for the quality or the money. Disappointing.More

I was stuck in a hotel nearby looking for a place to eat. Walked by and heard great music--James Brown--playing and went inside. When reading some other reviews, I noticed one that said they thought they were racist against white people. Well, I am white,...from Minnesota, and didn't feel that in any way shape or form. In fact, I felt like a welcome guest. I grabbed a seat at the bar and Angel came right over, welcomed me, and gave me outstanding service. The clientele is mostly black, but I didn't feel like an outsider at all. Not only was the staff friendly, but the patrons at the bar were as well. The place is right out of the late 1970's--in a good way. Great music (I like soul music from the 80's) but what I noticed more than anything was the phenomena food--super fresh fish and ingredients. This is a wonderful place!More

The staff that is responsible for seating you are extremely rude and disrespectful. They seem racist towards white people.

The manager Mike is rude and when I’m spending 200-300 a meal I expect my food to taste right!! We come all the time but seems like this might have been the last time as again Mike the manager is very rude and does not...wish to accommodate you that’s is not how food service should go in a high priced restaurant such as this!! We ordered the lobster tails and they were over cooked when they came out! When we told the bartender OMar who was awesome by the way he called Mike the Manager Mike! Mike told us that’s how the lobster tails come over cooked! Excuse me we come all the time they never taste like this we asked him he can remake us some and he said NO! I couldn’t believe it said that’s how they come out and if we wanted something else fine but he would Not remake them!! At that point I was pissed and told him I did Nit want anything else asked for the check! I attached a pic 187.00 That is without dinner because he would not remake I gave Omar 250 just because his manger was ignorant and rude I didn’t think it was fair to take it out on the bartender!! Someone should address his attitude immediately!More

DO NOT ORDER CORN ON THE COB. 21$ for 2 whole STALE gooey cobs!!!!! You don't see it on the menu because it's "the vegetable of the day"(who th has corn as the vegetable of the day). It's a set up b/c they know people...often order corn with seafood so it's intentionally not mentioned. Didn't even think to ask the price, Capital Grille won't even charge 10.50 for a piece of basic corn!!! ....ordered my food but this time had a child with me so we asked the waitress about Corn on the Cob after we picked the crab and lobster bucket n snow crab bucket and she was more than happy to tell us we could order it as a side, who would've imagined it was 11 plus dollars with tax. Also, I'm a tipper so no problems with it being added because I tip 20% and more but I do have a problem with the waitress deciding they are going to just give me 6$ even for my change instead of the $6.63 that they owe me and walk away. YOU DONT GET TO DECIDE THAT I DONT GET MY CHANGE!!!! IDC if it's 3 pennies, you respectfully say I don't have 3 pennies or ask if it's ok, it's the principle, give me MY $.63!!! ..would have left the $6.63 on top of the 27$ already added for gratuity had she not done that. I asked for my .63 as she walked away shaking her head, she came back with .65 cents because she was salty I even asked for it and wanted to be a smart ass, so I left the .65 because again it was the principle and she didn't get it!! Oan..I love their crab legs, go there often with friends and usually have a good experience but this definitely has me wanting to find another seafood hangout spot. Since there are many black people that can be problematic to serve this restaurant gets ahead of it and treats you like that problematic person that real tippers and those that respect industry hate to go out with(the waitress was sure to point that out on the menu). IT's not a good feeling but I get it. Not sure if I'll deal with it anymore.More

The Shark Platter is over $40, but well worth it. It may have been more than that. I took a group of six in there, and we had 4 buckets, and a couple of rounds of beer, and the tab was $300. Again, well worth it.

It's mostly seafood. I am not a vegetarian so I don't know. Maybe look and see if they have a menu on their website.
