Can't even comment on the food today as the girl at the front of house is completely disrespectful and wasn't interested in helping us get seated. Told us that the wait was 30 minutes which was fine on a Saturday evening. But after 30 minutes she informed us that we have been put to the back of the line as... More

It was an overall extremely poor experience with the Kani House in Duluth when we entertained out-of-the-country business associates for lunch on a recent Friday. This review may seem overly negative, but, honestly, we could not find a redeeming quality. We were seated after a moderate wait even though we were the first patrons to be seated. Our server showed... More

This place is not bad, but not the best on sushi. Place is big, but decor is drab, looks like a warehouse. Service is good. Food was above average. It's worth a try. Will visit again if the stars align.

This Kani House is the one located in Johns Creek/Duluth at the intersection of Jones Bridge Road and Hwy 141. It's a standalone building that has been here for quite some time. It is testimony to the fact that every now and then people want to go some where different for dinner, like the fact that there is an entertainment... More

My husband just loves this restaurant. He almost always picks this place for his birthday dinner. I'm not as crazy about it, but we only go there a few times a year, so I just deal with it. I love, love, love their cherry blossom martini and I get it almost every time we go. I got the shrimp hibachi... More

This is a typical hibachi restaurant. The fire, the show, the steam 'choo choo' etc. The food has gone down hill over the years. My son is 13 and we've been coming to celebrate his b'day since he was 3. This visit, the soup was served cold. The chef was making fried rice (we were the only ones at the... More

Went here with some friends for my birthday. Had a 7:30 reservation. Two members of our party that were coming from Acworth got lost and and ended up in Lawrenceville. They wouldn't not sit our party until all guests were present even thought they had plenty of empty tables. Finally at 8:30 they seated us but told us only if... More

An awful place. Sorry to say that I'm not a big fan of the gimicky flat-top Pseudo Japanese, spatula flipping bit performed by some seemingly clever Asian guy, fooling all caucasian diners seated around this hot plate that he's Japanese. I ordered two sushi rolls $14 ea.!) and the waitress mentioned to me that my meal total might not qualify... More

So its not the best food but the event and the experience is a good one which is nice with the kids and that's why I gave it a very good rating. I like the steak and the ginger salad dressing very flavorful and fresh. Good for the kids good for the family if you dont mind the cost.

We got there at 7:15pm on a Friday night. They said the wait was 45 mins. So we sat at the bar to eat (party of 4.) We were there about 1.5 hrs and there was at least 5-6 empty tables available all the time. Service was very slow. Took about 20 mins until the waiter took our order... and... More
