Went for Breakfast. I was surprised at how they lowered the quality of the food and service. I went to this restaurant about every other week, and I will never ever go back. There was a parade right in front of their restaurant. They were...charging everyone $25 for parking. They even tried to charge people who were parking next door to them. When the owner of the next door building complained, they offered to split the proceeds. The owner said "get out of here" No one else on the entire parade route was charging for parking, just them. I think that's terrible and I will never ever not ever come back. I will miss my business for breakfast on any future morning. I hope it was worth it for you.More

What an absolute gem! The two of us went on the first Friday in August, around noon. He got the hash browns and eggs plus gravy; I got a double cheeseburger and chocolate milkshake. Everything was spot on — I was offered a taste of...the gravy (which I thought I never liked) and it was heavenly. The beef was seasoned quite well and the milkshake was huge! Note: The milkshake is on the “thin” side, texturally, but still delicious. Portions were generous, Valerie was our helpful server… we will definitely return. This reminds me of the “fountain grills” of Rexall drug stores of my youth.More

Plain brick building that most people might just drive past but a great little breakfast/lunch stop. Service was friendly. If you get there around 11, you can have your choice of breakfast or lunch. Portions were decent. Loved that they offered meat and two specials....Chicken and dressing was really good. Husband enjoyed the omelette and said they put a fair amount of toppings inside. Biscuits were average but large and fluffy. Prices were a little more than I was expecting, but it was a good stop for some southern cooking.More

Came here based on prior reviews thinking it was a spot that locals like. Food was unimpressive at best. Server was friendly but not worth stopping for.

Country fried steak was tough and unpleasantly chewy. Visited late, service was impeccable. Really wanted to like as past visits were really good including frequent drive thru stops. Name was being scraped off the front.

I thought this food was like my grandmother made especially the dessert. We each shared a different one. One strawberry, one chocolate cake and a blackberry cobbler. All were yummy!

Rexall Grill is one of those Southern style places that is consistently good. From HOMEMADE sausage gravy over your HOMEMADE biscuits, you can't go wrong. If you like a biscuit that is well browned, get your biscuit "oven baked", which means they put it back...in the oven to brown it more. Grits, of course, are also available. Lunch is the standard "meat and two (or three)", and is exactly what you expect---solid cooking, good flavor, served with a smile.More

Friends from the local area treated us to breakfast here. It is a "go to" spot for them. A good southern breakfast with grits, eggs and country ham! A look at the menu indicates they serve a lot of good ole comfort food and tasty...deserts. Prices seemed average for the area!More

When it's a dreary, cold December day, nothing helps beat the blues like a plate of hot chicken and dumplings from Rexall Grill in Duluth. Add a side of lima beans or fried okra and then relish the comfort of home cooking just like your...Southern grandma used to make. The staff is friendly, especially the owner Linda. The prices are moderate, but considering all the hassle of making chicken and dumplings, then you won't mind paying a little more. The breakfast menu at Rexall is also very good. If you would like to feel like a Duluth local, then stop in and enjoy the comfort of home cooking at Rexall Grill.More

The service, menu, food, and staff are representative of all things Southern! We aren't local, but were treated as such. The food was cooked fresh on the grill or fried and so delicious! I love the casual setting.

We love to go here as it is old school. Nothing fancy, a bit quirky, a huge Coca-Cola theme, but fun. Connected to it's pharmacy, it's old school diner type food. Great for breakfast, pancakes, French toast, eggs, or a quick cup of coffee. Lunch...is just as yummy! Quick and easy. NO DINNER MENU! Locals have been coming here for many, many years. A must try!More

No frills, but it's what the locals expect. Just darn good food and service. They serve breakfast and lunch only. Recently opened a drive thru. We usually have a selection of meat and veggies, cornbread, rolls or biscuit. I'm hungry just writing this.
