The hotel I was staying at did not have a restaurant, so I ventured out and to my delight there was a Chinese restaurant within walking distance (Not Buford location, it was 11625 Medlock Bridge Rd, Johns Creek ). Now this is not a Chinese American place, there will be no eggrolls, there will be no fortune cookies, but there will be great food. The decor and look of the restaurant is very nice, the service is quick and friendly. I wish I had this place where I am from, because I would frequent it all of the time. What I was disappointed in was the lack of guests here, especially with 2 large hotels within walking distance. I was a little early for dinner at 6:30, but I was the only table at that time. While I ate there were 4 other tables that were seated. This place should be full with the quality of food they are providing. The prices are a little high, but the portions are more than I could eat, and very tasty.
One thing I would recommend is to give front desk or bartenders of the hotels some sort of referral program. They have a free appetizer ticket they give the guest, it has the person's name on it that referred them to the restaurant on it and the restaurant keeps track of how many guest were referred. They can earn a dinner or the like for so many referrals. This would increase the number of guests, it would get people that work in the same community to promote business, and maybe earn some new customers.

Not sure who this Jack Coffee character is, but needed to chime in advise that raging liberals aren’t the only people capable of appreciating good food. More over, his problem with Chic-fil-a is obviously politically rooted. It would be nice if liberals like him could contain themselves from injecting politics into everything, but this joker can’t even write a food review without doing so.
That all said — Master Piece is excellent. Just be forewarned, 2 peppers on the menu here equates to 4 or 5 at most other Chinese restaurants. Aside from the spice, the sauces and flavors are intense and pop.
Don’t let a joker like this steer you away over his petty need to insult people. The food is excellent, and I have always been treated well here.

I have now been here three times and every time the servers were friendly and smiling, the food was amazing and very reasonably priced. We always go home with leftovers. We drive 30 minutes to get there & it is well worth it. Incredible flavors. Be careful with 'spicy'....they are not kidding! Overall 5 stars!

I ordered beef with sizzling rice and was not really sure what I was getting. When it arrived, it looked like a plate of broken up rice krispie treats. It was SO dry I was not able to eat it. I asked the waitress if she could please give me some sauce to put over the beef and she said "No. No sauce". I told her I was unable to eat it because it was so dry and she just walked away. I will never go back to that place. People who work there are not very nice and very unfriendly.

Nothing fancy, but the food is outstanding. Most dishes do tend to be on the spicy side. This trip two of us shared an order of dumplings which are so very good, the chicken fried rice which might be the best I have ever had, and the kung pao chicken. This is the best Chinese food we have found in the Duluth, GA area.

Wasn't expecting to be blown away in a strip mall off Buford Highway, boy was I wrong. I travel to Asia yearly for work and this rivals some of my favorite meals there. The chef is a James Bear Award Nominee- and it shows.

This is for the MASTERPIECE in JOHNS CREEK (Medlock Bridge location)
***FOOD: Good Chinese Food. Flavorful dishes.
Not your typical chinese restaurant. Most dishes are hot and spicy but of course you can order anything in mild so they can cook it to cater to more sensitive palates who don't want the spiciness. Known for their Zhong Style Won Tons & Dan Dan Noodles - absolute MUST HAVES.
They also have regular Chinese Food menu items. real authentic dishes hail from Sichuan & Hunan province in China. This is the place to take your spicy food seeker friend, challenge your companion to some of the spiciest foods around.
***COST (OUT OF 4$) $$ reasonable prices for the dishes, won ton dumplings 10 for $12, noodle soup $9
***DÉCOR / LOCATION: gorgeous interior, upscale specialty chinese restaurant. nice gold chandelier, booths, on medlock bridge road / peachtree parkway and mcginnis ferry road in Johns Creek
***SERVICE: attentive service, food came quick
***RECOMMEND: HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Every so now and then you just have to spice up date night. This is the place. Order online for pickup is fast too!

OMG. Best ever. The Fu Qi Fei Pian is great. The boneless chicken was hot- but I kept going for it.
What is the special sauce on the fish? So good. A+ place. Cant believe the few negative ratings- but I think the flavors are a bit complex for simpletons. This is why they have Panda Express I think. Love this place.

Weird menu, very weird. I have seen authentic Chinese dishes on the menu at Canton Cooks, but so much on the Masterpiece menu is just strange--and not intriguing. Standard options are missing. Worse yet, there is no lunch menu. The food is decent, but I have had far better elsewhere. Worst of all, the prices are inexplicably sky high. Oddly enough, they have recently opened another location in Suwanee . . . where the prices are way higher yet. Kung Pao Chicken was $13 at the Duluth location, but $19 in Suwanee. Pot stickers were $15 in Suwanee--double the price of other Chinese restaurants. Why go here when Canton Cooks is available?

I've been reading about this place for awhile, so I made my way out recently... I ordered the spicy diced chicken and the Eggplant with chili ash powder... Both arrived quickly, and were hot and fresh, and portions large... The flavor of both was huge, and I had enough leftover for another nice sized meal. I will be coming back to sample some of their other items soon...

Visited the restaurant twice in 4 months and liked the authenticity of the items. We tried the Dan Dan Noodle, Cumin Lamb and Fried Fish Fillet with Numbing Ash and Pepper on our recent visit. We had tried more options on our first visit and loved the restaurant overall. Excellent food and great service. Would definitely recommend trying it out if you like Chinese.

Had the same experience as the last reviewer. Took a 30 min detour to eat here on an early Sunday evening. Restaurant only half full. I was told there would be a 30+ minute wait just to sit down somewhere. Lots of open tables. I went next door instead where I was seated right away. This was my third time to try Masterpiece and my experience with service and food quality has deteriorated each time. They blew their last chance with me - never again.

Out of the way restaurant in an industrial area. Reputedly it is the best in Atlanta in its category. The eggplant in garlic sauce was spectacular as were some other dishes but several were much too hot for us.
