Had the chicken tikka marsala. Flavors were good, rice was cooked well, and the sauce was a good consistency. The waitress that served my party wasn’t overly friendly. One friend asked a question about substituting naan for rice or a different side because she didn’t eat rice and was told twice very shortly and with a little attitude NO before finally the waitress explaining that they view the rice as complementary with their dishes like tortilla chips would be at a Mexican restaurant. Understandable if you’re nice about it rather than how it was originally handled. Service overall was below average, but if the restaurant could work on it, the experience could be nice. The food was decent enough and not too pricey for the portion received.

Went for light evening snack/tea after movie at Regal. Had pani puri and chai tea. The atmosphere is good/clean but the food is meh at best.
The green (chilli) water was bland and had an unnatural green color which was very likely due to heavy use of food coloring. The potato mash looked like it had some spice powder in it but was bland. The tamarind water/chutney was decent though, but the overall dish was disappointing and definitely lacking in the kick that the typical Indian gol-guppa is supposed to give you.
The worst were the chai teas - they obviously came from a machine (had the typical taste of powdered creamer or powdered milk that overpowered the tea) and had no strong tea taste that defines a good Indian chai. When one goes to a sit down Indian restaurant, one at least expects a good cup of homemade/handmade chai.

Food was good I had the chicken samosas. Customer service was not very inviting. I handed the guy my card, when he was done be placed it on the counter. Not professional at all! Will not go back.

Food was mediocre
Service was pathetic
Prices are outrageous for what you get
If you order online, make sure the pickup time is half an hour earlier than when you want it... 'cause they are going to make you wait, no apologies other than a sorry that does not have any credibility.
If you can go somewhere else, go!

Ordered chicken curry - one of the most common Indian curries. Masti FAILS miserably - chicken was dry, and not tender. How can they screw this simple item?
Their Shaam Savera sounded interesting enough. It is cheese filled spinach balls. The cheese was tough and the spinach covering even tougher.
So much for trying them out. Only one word comes to mind - horrible!

Always consistent - very delicious. Seems to be a go-to place for a lot of people who know Indian food. Highly recommend - interesting menu choices.

This is a one stop place for Indian street food, traditional dishes, or fun creative Indian dishes. An interesting place to eat.
Not everything we've had has been very good but most things have been. Friendly staff and good service. I don't give it a 5 star rating because as far as "street eats," go, you'd like to sample various of them, but at around $10 each, it becomes to pricey! Due to that we typically stick with something we know we'd like, which is a bit limiting.
But all in all, we do like this restaurant.

Just came out of the restaurant. Not the same service as the Atlanta branch which was awesome. The service at the Medlock Bridge was poor. Ordered masala Dosa. The potato stuffing was spoilt. I let the person in charge know as a precaution for further servings , and he said the cook had just boiled and made it. Regardless it was spoilt. I mentioned this as I left the restaurant to the same person ( he was at the cash register wearing a white shirt, skinny , tall with a thin mustache ) . He never apologized, was very dismissive. I guess he lacked critical hospitality skills. In fact earlier I had seen him arguing with a Black couple.
Please do not order the mango cheesecake. It's an ordinary cheesecake drowned in think orange sauce. I guess that was the mango part. The cheese in the cheese cake was sour. Also we were not sure who was serving us. There were multiple waiters.
This is my first Restaurant review. I felt the need to write this so the owner of the restaurant is aware of the poor service. Had there been some apology, I would have dismissed the complaint in spite of the unsatisfactory order. I will not visit the place again... that is the medlock bridge branch. However I will definitely visit the Atlanta one. .

I'd seen Masti several times, with a child at JCHS we are in the area a lot. I was a little suspicious of the menu, I didn't know just how "creative" it was. I grew up in Southeast Asia, have traveled to India and have eaten lots of Indian food. I asked a schoolmate who is Indian and living in India about the menu and she said there's a lot of creative stuff going on in India, as there is everywhere, and it was probably OK. They had a table at the Johns Creek International Festival and we tried the samosa chat and it was good so we though we'd try the restaurant for Mother's Day. It was pretty busy at 6 p.m. and nearly everyone was Indian, which is usually a good sign. We were seated at a table and then told we'd be moved to a booth as soon as someone left. Maybe they like to see the booths full? They had an interesting non-alcoholic drink menu. Several Indian sodas and some others. My daughter and I got our usual mango lassi. My husband tried a type of lemonade infused with cumin. That was interesting. We ordered the meat samosas for an appetizer and they were good, very mild. For entrees we wanted to skip the usual things and go for the street food. Our daughter got the fish and chips. The fries were curly fries. The fish was just like any fried fish you'd get anywhere except the chickpea batter gave it a little different taste and texture. My husband got the lamb quesadilla. The lamb filling was OK. I didn't try the wrapper but it appeared to be a dosa. I had the butter chicken "tacos", butter chicken wrapped in an Indian pancake made of chickpea and lentil flour. The pancake was good, light and fluffy, but the butter chicken had no taste whatsoever. We knew the samosa we tried at the festival wasn't really spicy and from talking to the employees there we got the impression everything was pretty mild. But there's mild and then there's flavorless. Some of their other dishes might be OK but we were so disappointed we aren't interested in going back. Desserts sounded good but we had cupcakes waiting at home. Service was also slow. Our three dishes all came out at different times. We though our daughter would be finished before we got our dinners. We also got the wrong bill but got that straightened out quickly.

Our family goes to Masti probably once a month or so because we love eating Indian food that is on the less spicy side, and for cheaper. Masti offers a wide variety of dishes so that everyone going can enjoy a meal. The only downside to our specific location (which is he only one we have been to) is that the service is pretty sub par and it seems as though the staff have not been trained very well. Your water does not get refilled that often, it takes a while to order, so I recommend ordering right away, and they have screwed up our order before. That said, the food is still very tasty, and I would highly recommend trying it out. Good luck, and happy dining!

I highly recommend Masti-Indian Street Eats-Duluth, GA. Having experienced Indian Cuisine around the world and the United States. Masti definitely ranks up high of all the Indian Restaurants I have experienced. I love the lunch they offer. It is exactly what you would experience if you lived in India. Actually my visit yesterday to Matsi reminded me of a documentary per the BBC about Indian Lunch Vendors. Upon entering the restaurant we were made feel very welcome. The staff are very professional and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. The restaurant is very clean. Lastly I definitely look forward to visiting Masti Street Eats in the near future. Note the restaurant is very close to the Movie Theatre’s. Great spot to visit for a date night or a family outing. Outstanding Customer Service and Rates Five Stars and more.

This is my new, fun go-to Indian restaurant! It is cutely designed, casual and family friendly, yet has a full bar and really good street eats! Personally, I LOVE the Palak Chaat (Spinach snack)! After the first time I had it, I went back 2 days later because it's so good! Palak Chaat is my newest FAV -- an appetizer made with fresh spinach, coated with chick pea flour and flash fried -- also has chopped tomatoes, potatoes, onions, tamarind and a yogurt drizzle (or on the side). excelente!
