A real one-of-a-kind place. Comfortable, casual, friendly surroundings. You will feel at home in a golf shirt or a blazer. Had the ahi tuna and the sea bass special, both of which were delicious. Salad was fresh and perfectly light and the pimento fritters were...dangerously good. No dish at Wahoo has ever disappointed. Friendly, responsive, very knowledgeable service, fully informed on the great wine list. They carried a little known Italian white that my wife has been searching for. That punctuated a great experience. Maybe they could use a few more options by the glass. Next time we'll try signature cocktails, which looked great. Inside dining is delightful, but weather permitting, the garden patio is wonderful, lush with mature large plants fully surrounding giving you a shaded cool tropical setting. It was our anniversary which they recognized in very nice ways. We'll be back.More

Wahoo remains one of our favorites. We visited after Christmas and the restaurant was packed in addition to hosting a private event. The hostess and manager were very honest about the wait and indicated a comfortable enclave where we could enjoy heat while awaiting our...table (we foolishly arrived without reservations). After a reasonable wait, we were escorted to our table and served by the attentive and lovely Chris (?) from Seattle. He was the best mix of there when we wanted and invisible but watching when we were content. The wines offered are fantastic at the price point per bottle and a reasonable and great quality glass is available in many varietals. Several of our party ordered martinis from the full bar and enjoyed those too. My favorite thing that happened is that our server and the manager noticed when one meal was uneaten and went out of their way to make it right. It goes to show how much this local gem prioritizes their quality! Highly recommend the seasonal potato cake appetizer, calimari with fried banana peppers (which we often order just for those scrumptious peppers), fresh and tasty salads topped with local ingredients, and seafood entrees. We love the quality, delicious preparations and return time and time again for the personal touch offered. Amazing work, team! Wish we had the manager’s and host name to comment but all were top notch.More

I wish we took pictures to show how bad this place is. First, the entrance is through a water hole filled gravel parking lot. Leave your new kicks at home... they'll get ruined. You walk through a rusty gate on uneven pavement to the door...the tilts up a poorly made concrete ramp. Inside, the place is complete dive and needs a serious cash infusion: mold and dirt packed on the ceiling; green mold growing on the planters as you enter, furniture from a fraternity yard sale. The waitress, Allie was very charming and a gem (the only reason this place got two stars). We ordered drinks, watermelon margaritas, which were the highlight of our visit. We also ordered a side of house yeast roles dipped in herb butter. We're pretty sure the roles came frozen from Costco. For dinner, we had their long menu items fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and collard greens and berries salad with salmon served on grits. Crazy small portions. The chicken was without a doubt under nourished. Tender but greasy. Potatoes and collard greens were so horrible that they just don't deserve further mention. The salad was tiny as was the salmon (1" wide!! sliver!). Hard to believe we paid $80 for this horrible meal. If this place is going to survive, they need to bring things up to current health codes and furnishing standards. If you're not going to remodel, at least provide somewhat of a meal!More

Early evening dinner for 4 ... Had Grouper special, trout, scallops and Ahi Tuna. All fine. Service was not very good. Lady server did not tell us the price of the special when she announced it...she needs to know that. Brought fried green tomatoes, not...the fresh tomatoes and cheese as ordered. She did not check back with us regularly and seemed to ignore us. Just a very lousy experience even though the food was good. Tip was 15%, not usual 25% for great service. Sorry, can't reward poor service.More

We sat outside on the patio, it was very nice. Wahoo has exceeded Covid requirements, we felt so safe. The paper drink menu on the table is not reused. The scan code on the table, gets you the menu on your phone. The wait staff...brings food & drinks to a tray next to your table so that masked servers never lean over you at the table. You bring the food to the table from the tray. Even the bill is paid touchless by scanning the code & your bill appears & it is emailed to you. We started with the fried calamari ($13). It was very good, but the sweet sauce that was on the calamari was a little sweet for me, it also made the calamari not so crispy. My wife & I had the fried chicken. I love good fried chicken ($20). It was served with mashed potatoes & vegetables. It was pretty good but I've had much better. Even my wife, who usually doesn't finish her portions was surprised at how small a piece of chicken was served. It was a boneless chicken breast with just the bone from the lower wing portion on it. The potatoes & asparagus were excellent. We shared a sharing portion of the bourbon bread pudding for the table ($8). I have to say it was amazing. The service was excellent. Our server, Nace, was superb.More

Awesome crab cakes and fried green tomatoes! I topped it off with a bourbon bread pudding. I ordered curbside and that was so easy. The food is delicious. The next time I’m in town I’ll definitely visit again and dine in.

Had a wonderful meal and felt safe. Wonderful Crab Bisque with sherry and a great trout covered in pecans. Wish I had enough space for dessert. Great service and their COVID prep was very comforting.

This venue is a nice place for a small gathering. Probably great for a regular neighborhood hangout. The service is great, the lunch menu is not very large, and the food was average. The price was above average. The dinner service must be better for all...of the high reviews.More

Great southern menu and atmosphere. The back patio has a great vibe, and you feel like you are outside. All menu items are good. Steak, pork chop, Shrimp and Grits, etc.

We went early on a weeknight and parked free without issue. It is expensive but to me it was an experience worth paying for. My scallops and risotto were perfect. The only complaint I had was the food was not quite as hot as it...needed to be and the fan in the outdoor seating made it chill off. Maybe warming the plate would have helped. But it was still great and we lived the server!More
