This is continental comfort food in a quirky, warm setting. The food is substantial and seems to me best for a cold night. Love to go here when I need a lift from the winter doldrums.

Cafe Alsace is a French restaurant. I thought the menu was a little quirky, but I am no expert on French food. Oddly, the wine list is quite small. Not much of a selection in my opinion. Still, if you like French food, it is certainly worth a try.

This small cafe is so authentic..down to our French server. We have been to France and this cafe is as close as it gets! You can taste the fresh herbs in every dish. Excellent escargot! And the bread!! Oh so perfect! A must is the French Onion soup, wonderful. The atmosphere isn't "fancy", but it is like a cafe in... More

I visit Café Alsace once a year on an annual trip to Atlanta. We usually join family for dinner and did so again this year. Because of Hurricane Matthew, we ate here three times in October. Dinner was spectacular with wonderful pate, cheese board and Tarte Flambe aka Flamenkuche. Our second visit included the special Oktoberfest spaetzle which was too... More

During the 2016 Decatur Book Festival I had the opportunity to visit Cafe Alsace for dessert. I wish we'd made reservations for dinner. The cafe is extremely cozy and charmingly decorated. The theme could be described as romantic Parisian tea room. The menu is brief, comprehensive, and seasonal. This is not a place to visit if you are in a... More

Step into a romantic, cozy French restaurant in the heart of downtown Decatur where the owner warmly greets customers. One of the best French & German wine selections found in Atlanta. Delicious, authentic recipes from this beautiful area of the French countryside, from soups of the day, home made quiches, a wonderful chicken liver pate that the locals order for... More

This is the one French restaurant in Atlanta that gives me the same feeling as being in a cafe in France. Tiny place, French speaking staff, authentic French classics and fresh innovative dishes too. Their house made pate is outstanding, and their baguettes are the real deal.

This is a teeny place run by 1 or 2 people. It tasted like food was made in-house and service was pleasant. Try the homemade ice creams for dessert.

Ok another difficult review to do. We made reservations and we went at our time and they were sorry no you need to come back unless you wish to eat outside..no. The outdoor dining is beside the road and car fumes not our idea of good dining. We went back and other people were seated immediately and we still needed... More

What a fabulous find! Truly reminiscent of our visits with family who live in Alsace. The breakfast casserole of eggs, potatoes, and sausage was truly incredible! They also have authentic French sparkling Limonade if you, like me, have suffered through years of misery without it in the US. My only complaint is that we must drive 120 miles each way... More
