Having been there many times, my favorite is their chicken soup which is to die for. Several times for lunch, I ordered from their lunch menu where the selections are plentiful and filling. The staff is very professional; a place me and my friends like to have lunch

On our first visit to El Campesino, we found the service to be fast and friendly. Even though we were a large party, the service was attentive and kept up with the pace of the diners. The chips and salsa were just average; we ate Mexican in several restaurants in north Georgia, and we kept finding "salsa" to be watery... More

As always, the food is incredible. but unfortunately that was all that was excellent on this visit. the waiter appeared to be more interested in watching TV than getting our drink or food order. Approximate time waiting was over 30 minutes. (just to place the order) I could have understood if the place was busy, but my friend and I... More

I always eat here anytime I'm in Dawsonville. The one in Cleveland is just as good too. The El Campesino Special is my favorite. Seems like the prices have gone up a bit since I ate there last.

Ive been a regular customer here for several years, but we decided to have our company Christmas party there. Was the 28th of December 2015. Our office doesn't normally close until late, and these guys were so understanding they offered to stay open late so we could really enjoy ourselves. And we sure did. The food is awesome. the drinks... More

We have been coming here for many years. This last time the service was especially good and fast. The food is always tasty and hot, although it is a traditional mex/am franchise operation. Reasonable prices, regular servers remember who you are, and there is usually a wait on weekend nights. We also noticed that all the servers were men.

We went with a group of seven people. While we waited a bit for the table service was fantastic. The food was very good and everyone was pleased with their choices. What struck me was the total bill was just over $100 which is a rare occurrence with such a large group. Thanks for a great dinner.

Wish they would have some inspired dishes, like Menudo! Friends like their Chicken soup = big bowl. Chips are fresh & crunchy.

All the dishes we ordered kind of looked the same and tasted the same. The service was good and the restaurant is clean but, there is no sense going back there.
