I was told I had to go here for the fresh seafood. Boy were they right. Food is so good. I had the fried oysters with blackened Mahi. absolutely fabulous.
I see why it's so popular. We waited 45 minutes but our waitress was awesome...and made sure our drinks stayed full and checked on us but not over doing it....wonderful womderfulMore
Had dinner at Skippers upstairs bar area on outside deck with friends. Amazing experience! These guys were slammed with business and after asking nicely that we were waiting for service for a while a waiter named Rex jumped in and literally took care of business!...This guy waiting on several other tables was cool as a cucumber and took our food and drink order and was simply awesome! The bar manager working a double was our actual waiter and he seemlesly jumped back in after shift change. Food was excellent and service beyond what I’ve seen at so many other places. Dine here, enjoy the freshest seafood and tip your servers well! THANK YOU!!!More
Family type restaurant with a nice view on the river. Not the most exciting menu. Got an oyster po boy which was very underfilled and bland. Fish stew was good but under spiced. Breaded grouper app was very fresh and well spiced. Service/hosts were very...young and less than professional.More
After leaving the GA Republican we were looking for good food on the way to Savanah GA. Skippers fish camp met that need. With a good view if the water...big deck and two separate dining buildings we were seated quickly. Food was good delivered fast...and hot. Waitress was a bit overwhelmed and never refilled our beverages..in fact I specifically asked for a to go tea. Never got it.
Major issue for me was extremely noisy in the restaurant..brick floors lots of windows, with full tables made conversation difficult.More
First, our server gets five stars. Austin is awesome! On a busy day, he took the time to separate tables for us to be able to sit outside. Bonus stars to him for putting us on the side of the deck that didn’t get wet...when a downpour occurred shortly after we arrived. Our party of four had fried pickles (weird, but good), fish and grits, oyster hoagie, the Pig Pickin’ sandwich, and a crab cake sandwich, three with house salads. The house salad dressing is fantastic, creamy, oniony, sweet. Everyone liked their meal, with no complaints. The fried okra was a great option as a side, especially when I’ve ordered a shockingly large crab cake sandwich…More
We were on a very long drive and rather then eating fast food we came to Skippers Fish Camp. First the Alligator was VERY tender and tasty which is hard to find. The rest of the food was as good and we just enjoyed the...atmosphere. For someone driving it is worth the extra 5-7 minutes drive.More
For a upper price place .they had was out of baked potato , beer was warm . Brunswick stew was sour like it was old. Still wanted to add upcharge to replace baked potato with onions rings. Flounder fish was dry. Very disappointed .
There were four of us for lunch yesterday at Skipper's. We had not been in a long time, as we don't live near Darien. As always, when we go to Darien to meet up with friends, we have a meal at Skippers. Our servers were...2 nice gentlemen, Chase and J.R. They were friendly and efficient, and came back to see if the food/drinks etc. were to our liking . Two of us had the crab cakes appetizer, which I added a house salad . A perfect meal. The crab cakes have just enough flavoring. My husband got oysters Rockefeller. Thank you, Chase and J.R. for your friendly service ! Note: The outdoor patio is perfect when the weather
is nice !More
