We had the fried shrimp dinners. Portions are huge. The shrimp were a little small, but still pretty good. Next time we are trying to low country boil. We saw a couple come out and they were huge portions.

After long drive, enough time allowed for a quick pizza before retiring. So stopped in this shop filled with locals enjoying dinner. We enjoyed our pie too.

We stopped by on our way to St. George Fort. Delicious everything: we had the hamburger steak, blackened chicken and hamburger. The iced tea is perfect. We will return some day soon.

My hubby heard about B&J from a coworker and my sister also told me about this restaurant. We went for a Saturday evening meal. All of the hype was correct and accurate. I had the blackened shrimp and baked potato. Very tasty. My hubby had...the ribeye that was so large they filet it to make sure it was cooked through. We both had to bring home the leftovers. Well worth every dime for the no frills eats!More

A friend had told us of this shrimp. It was a lot of food in a "basket " . Tasted so fresh. The strawberry cake was good too.

What an amazing meal we had from B & J’s! During this time of Covid-19 we ordered carry out. The food was hot and super fresh. The portions were so large and so delicious! My husband ordered blackened tilapia. He said it was the best...he’s ever had. - I tasted it and agree! I ordered the fried shrimp basket. The shrimp were huge and amazing! We look forward to dining here again! The only thing that was a bit unusual to us was that there’s apparently an additional charge for hush puppies. We got Texas toast with our seafood. Disappointing, but not a deal breaker.More

Here it is folks. If all else fails, ask the desk clerk. In our case he directed us to B&J's a small local restaurant catering to families. None of the typical tourist junk plastering the walls, this is simple down home family fare. I asked...our waitress what was their best meal and she said they had no single best meal, eveything was great. And the crowds attested to the fact as they continued to come on in even at 8 PM on a Tuesday. The waitress said they typically had a 1.5 - 2 hour wait on Fridays and Saturdays. I got surf and turf which consisted of a 8 oz. steak and shrimp piled so high on the plate that you couldn't see the fries nestled below. The steak was seasoned well and cooked well, tender yet medium. The shrimp were excellent, fried to a golden goodness. The plate was so full that I ordered a doggy bag simply so I could make some room on the plate. This was a hungry man's meal that far surpassed my expectations and my apetite. My wife got the salad bar and stuffed potato skins. A nice salad bar with plenty of fixins. Her skins were so plentiful that she asked the waitress to put a couple aside for the desk clerk to thank him for his recommendation. Although a smaller meal she was very happy with her choice. This is the type place that Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives makes it's hit show about. Substantial servings of good home cooking for weary travelers and families. Pleasant staff, good food in a comfortable home style restaurant. It really doesn't get much better than this.More

This was probably my third visit to this restaurant. Twice about three years ago and once last week. It is one of my favorite seafood restaurants anywhere and i find it hard to order anything else but fried shrimp, my favoeite. They excel in the...lightness of the breading and, of course, the frehness of the shrimp. Will be back in a couple of months.More
