We unknowingly arrived 90 minutes before opening, but were greeted with a warm welcome nonetheless. Chef Jerome asked us to give him about 30 minutes to get the kitchen ready and he would be happy to open for us. We browsed through hundreds of photos featuring previous "family" as Chef likes to refer to all customers. There were celebrities of... More

We just popped in and while I was a little hesitant at first, I was so impressed with the service, the food and the atmosphere. Chef Jerome really treats you like family. The wheelchair special was great. You won't regret it and you won't walk away hungry.

Absolutely incredible, unusual, weird (in a good way), strange (in a good way), wonderful experience. From the carpeted parking lot to thousands of photos on the wall to the loving greeting and big hugs from Chef Jerome himself, this is a must visit kind of place!!!! And who knows?? You might just run into Ben Affleck....or Jennifer Lopez...or, better yet....Chef... More

The most unusual restaurant setting you will ever experience. From the carpet on the driveway to the pictures on the walls.this place is different. Let's discuss the food. Shrimp and fish was ok. Hush puppies were good. Some of the sides were disappointing. Gerome the chief chef is very nice and engaging.in summary if you want a great meal don't... More

My husband and I spent the day at Harris Neck NWR and we were excited to see Chef Jerome's Old School Diner so close by. When we went in, we were a little confused by the carpeted parking lot and eclectic decor but the food put our minds at ease. You get what you pay for ($25/person) and the food... More

"Trust your chef" is the motto at this 12-year-old restaurant that gained a certain level of fame when Ben Affleck frequented it in the days of "Benifer." He has been back since then, but the Old School Diner would stand out even without a celebrity endorsement. It's just down the road from Harris Neck wildlife refuge, a destination in and... More

I have been to The Old School Diner a couple of times and each time Chef Jerome impressed me with the way he treated my kids. The first time my son wanted fish sticks, which aren't on the menu. Chef Jerome said he would take care of that for my son and sent out grouper fingers in it's place. Needless... More

I guess the parking area, entrance and interior would give plenty of material to a good comic. I think they consulted with Sanford and Son for the buildings exterior. But its the food that we're here to talk about. And I'd have to say it is excellent. We were two couples so we had plenty of different plates to sample... More

I can't even begin to tell you what to get. I have had the shrimp, chicken nuggets, wheelchair platter for 2 .... We rode there with 2 other couples who had never been and we just knew they would love it. We ordered the family style dinner for 6, which was $150. We had SO MUCH food, that we all... More

Chef Jerome Brown, has 20 years in the seafood business. Our customers are our family members, we have over 10,000 photos on the walls of our restaurant! The Old School Diner, famous for the "Wheel Chair Platter!" - Come see why Ben Affleck says " Why ask, Trust your Chef" Carpeted parking lot? Yes we have that!
