My family and I came for lunch on a weekend. The dining room was still closed, due to Covid, but the patio was open. We had called ahead to make sure they were open, and no mention of that fact was made, nor of a...suggestion of a reservation. Upon arrival, we were told by the lady at the front counter, that we should've made a reservation, but she gave us a table anyway, and told us that we would need to wrap it up within 45 minutes, because the table was reserved. Needless to say, we didn't feel very welcome. The food was very good, although the portions were small for the price, and sides were extra on many of the plates. Also, our server was very nice and friendly.More

With social distancing, there is no inside seating so all is on the deck. Each table had someone except one in the back corner and we loved it. Light breezes on a hot (88 drg) day. Service was prompt but the front door did not...indicate to come in to proceed to deck with a server so we tried the gate first. Menu is not huge but the choices are good. We had pork schnitzel and Thurenger brat with a side each. Food was yummy. When asked upon being served if we would want dessert, we said yes and she explained that for the strudel, she needed to know about when we were 1/2 done so it could be baked... Fresh baked Strudel! WOW and was it good with a bit of ice cream.More

This is a family owned restaurant and it shows. The food, service is excellent. I have been several times with my son. On our last visit, we had the fried brie served with fruit and bread. I have been thinking of it since. Warning, it's...addictive and enough for a meal for two. But we did not stop there, we share the variety of sausage, sauerkraut and schnitzel. Excellent! One day I will stop by just for dessert because there was no room left though I am sure it is excellent too!More

Three of us visited this small restaurant. The staff was exceptionally warm & welcoming. We ordered jagerschnitzel with spaetzel, schnitzel with home fries and a schnitzel sandwich with home fries. The fries were seasoned beautifully and so tasty. The schnitzel was good, but to me,...needed salt. The bread on the sandwich was fresh, crusty on the outside & soft on the inside. Portions were large. We would definitely return!More

I have not had a Jagerschnitzel in many years but this little dinner-like restaurant had one for me. Tucked back off the beaten path in Dahlonega, the Bratzeit is a German/Swiss restaurant with authentic food and of course, drink.

When we visited in mid-March they were allowing folks to sit indoors with every-other table blocked off.
