Best place I have ate in a while! Very confused on why some say it's very over priced. You go to long horns and get one meat, two sides and a drink. Not including the dessert. That is a 25 dollar meal. You come to Smithhouse and you get all you can eat, two meats, a lot of other southern... More

If I could rate it 0 stars I would! We went to Sunday brunch after my daughter's wedding at Montaluce Winery. We recommended the Smith House to our guests as the primary hotel for our wedding guests and many stayed there. My daughter called several days before to let them know we would have around 30 people attending Sunday brunch.... More

Thank you for sharing your experience on your visit with us. However, a private dining room was offered to your party but was declined due only 20 people could be confirmed would be dining with us. A possible 10 could show but could not be confirmed. We reserved a table for the 20 we were expecting in our main dining... More

I have eaten here twice and this review is the same for both. The food was "good" for the most part and the fried chicken was very good. The service was also very good. My only gripe is the price. Unless you eat a ton of food (it's all you can eat), the price is entirely too high for the... More

Home style, pass the plate, all you care to eat. A little pricey, but a good way to meet with family, or strangers, and share a meal at a large table full of everything you could want. A true southern dining experience.

Unusual experience in that we have been there several times over the years -- always packed. Not this time, midweek, after 1PM, NGC just back in session. Service and quality of food as always, just fantastic. If you are in Dahlonega, this is a must. Pricy but worth it. An adventure in dining not to be passed up.

Enjoyed the history of the Smith House. Our dinner was more than enough to eat, platters of food just kept coming. Wish I would have bought the cookbook as some of the dishes would be worth trying to cook. Only down side was the temperature of the food as it come out. Not very hot and cooled off quickly before... Food was ok, served family style which is great, but big tables with too many people take away versus add to experience. The room we stayed in was spotless, comfy bed, nice linens. People were nice... just not a great deal to do in this area... were a few nice restaurants within walking distance.

The rooms are interesting and offer a diverse selection of layouts. We had guests stay at the Smith house and they were quite pleased.

I love the Smith House. The food is served "family" style in bowls and platters that are passed around the table so that each person can take as much or as little as they want. The quality of the food is absolutely superb. Each diner is served at least two entrees and all of the vegetables are freshly prepared in... More

The price is definitely fitting of the food. Nothing that is served on the menu is bad. All the food is great. Very filling and pleasant staff.
