This was my first, but not last, visit. The food was as close to eating in Germany in the U.S.A., of places I have been. The Black Forrest cake tastes like it was shipped from Germany, and the fresh baked bread was delicious. If you...More

This restaurant is a gem. My wienerschnitzel tasted ad good as my food in Austria and Germany from vacation. Delicious Black Forest cake. Also attentive, outstanding service. I highly recommend!!

The Gasthaus is a well established restaurant in an house where Mary Alice Park intersects with Hwy 20. The menu is primarily German with some Hungarian recipes. There is a good selection of entrees, wines, and German beer. I took my wife on a date...More

Average food. German potato salad was not what I’d call authentic German (pretty tasteless). Server seemed overwhelmed. Desserts were the only thing I’d recommend German chocolate cake and raspberry ganache were excellent.

My wife and I so much wanted this to be a good experience, however much of what we ate was a disappointment. First, the good news - beer served in a boot was a nice Warsteiner Dunkle. The Wienershnitzle was OK, as was the Cuban...More

Food was not very good and prices were high. The snitzel is very thin portion. The Jagersnitzel appeared to have a commercial gravy poured on top. Few to no mushrooms visible. Desert uninspiring as well. I would not recommend.

We have been here twice. The first time I ordered Wienersnitzel and it was excellent . The Jagersnitzel was not as good.

Is this a restaurant? If so, let the staff know. No host or hostess or anywhere that looked like a reception desk so we wandered around the tiny house, then into the charmingly ramshackle beergarten, which is tiny and featured a wonderful oompah duo. We...More

I was the gentleman in the lederhosen, I left to find an open table to bring out to the beer garden since all the other tables out there were taken as was the case inside as well. I found one but it was in need...More

This place has gone down hill since Heidi & Herman retired. Not what you remember. Sometimes the food is served cold, the service is from kids, not the typical 20-30 yr old staff.

Grew up in Germany and fell in love with the food. This is the only place around that makes the food as yummy as what I remember as a kid. Not the biggest place, so make a reservation if you can. The outside patio is...More
