This restaurant, formerly part of an old factory, faces the Columbus Riverwalk with plenty of parking and easy access.
The menu has many tempting entrees making it a tough call, but we settled for the pork chop and the whole (but small) roast chicken. Add in a fresh salad and a rather unique and delicious "smoking" Old Fashioned, and a few oysters for appetizer, and it was a very satisfying local meal. Although service was attentive, it was a bit of a wait after ordering the entrees, but worth the wait.
One minor correction would be with the dollar rating - should be at least $$$ and comparable to a few other local eateries that show 4. Again it's nice that Columbus has more local establishments experimenting with fresh ideas in cuisine. If the food here is "Southern" it's taking that term and expanding on it with success.

I just came back from eating out on the patio at 11th and Bay. I had a cocktail called smoked pecan old fashioned which was delivered dramatically to our table in a box which when opened dispersed the smoke from the wood. The cocktail was strong and good. We ordered the smoked chicken legs and tomato salad as appetizers. Both were scrumptious. I would order these two items for my main the next time. My entree was scallops served over a celery root purée. I have never had the purée before but it was creamy and smooth almost like mashed cauliflower. I will definitely get that again as well. For desert we had the Lemon creme brûlée which was creamy without being too sweet. Yummy. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The chef came by briefly checking on each patron to make sure everything was okay. I look forward to our next visit.

We were walking past the restaurant and stopped to real the menu. Couple came out and started to chat with us. Turned out it was the folks that own the restaurant. Can't remember if the husband or wife was the chef, but all that matters is they were very gracious and inviting. Decided to go there for dinner that night. At first only my wife and I along with daughter in law and grandson were going to dine. At last minute, grandson's girlfriend and her parents decided to join us. Even though the restaurant was fully booked with several waiting, they were able to accomodate our party without an issue. Our server Michelle was spot on with everything. Owners came out to say hello (they remembered meeting us earlir) and when they found out our grandson's girlfriends father was a high ranking officer at nearby Ft. Benning, well, we were treated like royalty. Table enjoyed biscuits, Southern Caprese salad, fried okra, chicken burger, chicken and waffles, salmon, filet, scallops, some great Chianti and a couple of the bestsmoked pecan old fashions I have ever had. HIGHLY recommended for a great meal, supurb service and people that truly appreciate your business and know the meaning of Southern hospitality.

Our party of six was seated promptly for a 6:30 reservation on a busy Friday night. It took a while for the waiter to stop by to see if we wanted any drinks. We were ready to order food, but he took our order of a bottle of sparkling wine and said he’d be right back. Instead, he disappeared again, returning well after 7 to say they were looking for our bottle of wine and would we like to order. We all ordered mains only, no appetizers. The bottle finally arrived at 7:20, but no food yet. I’ll skip some of the detail, but our food finally arrived at 8:20 PM. My salmon, requested rare, was delivered medium well. I reluctantly sent it back, getting a perfectly cooked replacement 10 minutes later, exactly 2 hours after we had been seated. The manager was present in the dining room, but avoided our table for the longest time even after I started giving him the stink eye every time he walked by. At one point he did apologize for the food being a little late. I pointed out that we had been there for 1 hour and twenty minutes so far with no food. He laughed and walked away. Only because my salmon was not prepared correctly, the waiter offered a free cocktail for the table. None of us were drinking cocktails, and we didn’t take advantage of the offer. There was nothing taken off the final bill, and the manager never bothered to make a final apology as he hung out on the other side of the dining room by the bar seeming to avoid us. The food, by the way, was excellent. Note to manager - your job is more than taking victory laps around a happy dining room. You have got to identify and fix problems. When they can’t be fixed, you need to figure out how to make the aggrieved patrons satisfied.

Just simply love this place. The food presentations are gorgeous the taste is outstanding. This was my second time here when it came to the food, I was not disappointed. The New York strip was cooked to perfection and flavor was remarkable. The Smoked oysters once again tasted like heaven. The Sangria was put together nicely. The pork belly was paradise. For dessert the cheesecake was a wonderful compliment to an already out of this world meal. My compliments to the chef! Although the food was great the service this time was very slow (not sure if pandemic related) we had a 7 pm reservation and did not leave until 8:30. This was not by choice It just that slow for the food to come out. However, the waitress waws very accommodating and compensated us with and appetizer and desert. Not sure what was going on but nevertheless we enjoyed ourselves.

Hubby and I came in for dinner on our first night in Georgia. This restaurant did not disappoint. Only here for 5 days and may make another stop before heading back home. The watermelon salad, pork chop, grits, grouper, and service were phenomenal.

We began our meal with a drink. The other couple we were with had dined at the restaurant previously and ordered a smoked drink. It was served in a box. When the box was opened a beautiful cloud of smoke surrounded the drink creating a very dramatic effect. We split an appetizer of biscuits and apple butter, mushrooms soup and bib salad. The mushroom soup was superb, and the biscuits were light and fluffy. The true star of the evening was my red snapper. It was so light and delicate served with a couple of brussel sprouts and carrots. It was cooked to perfection and was delicious! My husband's scallop dinner left him hungry and wanting more as the portion size was small. The crust on the banana foster cheesecake was amazing but difficult to cut through, and the chocolate Grand Marnier cream brulee was lackluster. The restaurant has lots of ambience with all of the cotton decor. It is located in an old cotton factory. Servers wore masks and there is outdoor dining availability.

I loved this restaurant- from the start very welcoming staff in large barn like setting which is very comfortable well lit near the river . While restaurant says overlooking river fact is you can’t see river and at this time of year best sit inside .
Starters we had biscuits with apple sauce as filler with smoked chicken legs but best of all was water melon with pork belly. Both complemented each other . Entre was scallops well presented and tasty but not outstanding compared to pork chop which was delicious very moist and tasty . Finally had New York Cheese cake with fosters pecan .
Drinks were sangria - well made .
Server was knowledgeable and knew menu well pointing out his favorites.
Columbus has sine great restaurants and this is my favorite to date . Make reservations as very popular .

Beyond delicious!
As we are from Ireland and this was our first trip in south east USA we were new to the food of the region.
A Washington DC friend had told me a lot about Southern food and hospitality, up to now we had found the best of hospitality but found it hard to find the best of the food on our travels, but I found both in abundance at 11th and Bay! The flavours, the love, the passion, you can't mistake that when it arrives on your plate!
Heather and Michael are a couple who just get it, and ensure that each plate goes out complete with quality ingredients, sourced locally, organic, with quality and quantity in perfect proportions! We also had great wine which was well sourced and did not let the meal down.
The chocolate creme brulee which we shared closed the evening off with a perfect crunch!
We enjoyed every tasty mouthful, it's one of those meals we will never forget and I know we will talk about it in years to come.
Thanks Heather and Michael for your love of good food and the joy you bring to people at your restaurant.

The service (Cianti and Bo) were beyond awesome, funny too! The drinks were outstanding (a peach martini 🍸 was recommended , wasn’t sure but loved it, and the old fashioned smoked came in a box and was perfect) .. We loved the warm little biscuits and apple jam, and the warm burrata was a must try. We also ended up sharing the strip steak with rosemary mashed and broccolini, it was a huge portion.. and also $68! Definitely not cheap, but quite delicious. We left stuffed . Everything is farm fresh, the decor is charming. Lots of seafood choices and a bit unusual, prob not for a real picky eater.

I used to really like this place but not so much anymore. It's been 2 years since my last visit. They change up the menu and often remove some of the best eats. I understand seasonal items but taking away the chicken and waffles? That should be a permanent menu item for southern comfort food. They used to bring your table mini biscuits with jelly, free of charge. Now, you have to pay $5 for six. Scallops were done seared with a risotto and $10 cheaper. Now, the scallops shown are $42. Not worth it. Unfortunately, for me, they have lost their charm and paying for bread, well, that did it for me.

This restaurant is a great place for a great locally sourced chef prepared meal. We eat here every time we go through Columbus. The mixed drinks are consistently wonderful. They also have a good selection of alcohol. The the grilled oysters are a culinary adventure. The steaks are hand cut, the shrimp and grits, and seared scallops are great. I loved the vegetable plate also. I loved everything that I ordered.

While visiting family new to the area we decided to try this restaurant having read it was highly rated. The reservation online system was easy to use. Appears it is only open for dinner. There is a small bar in the front. The place was full so it seems likely best to make reservations. We had the shrimp with grits, salmon, and the large pork chop. The prices where on the end you usually expect in a very dining experience. The meat portions were generous and prepared excellently. The sweet potato puree was unique and excellent. The excellent cheese cake was supplement with berry jam, pecan bits, and toasted spiced banana slices. Some reviewers have complained about high prices. I felt the entrees were reasonably priced for their high quality. I would however have to say that the prices the appetizers including biscuits or smoked oysters were inappropriately high. We were pleased with local brewers draft beers. The serving staff was friendly and attentive when present but it appeared they were short on the number of servers. Probably best to stick with excellent entrees, desert, and drinks while avoiding the appetizers.

This is our second visit and we were equally impressed this time as well. We had another couple with us and it was their first time. They were impressed.
The menu options and specials lend itself to a pleasant variety of choices. Something for everyone. We started with the grilled green tomatoes with fried pimento cheese and the biscuits Both were excellent. We shared a bay salad the was delicious. A fun mix of greens, apples and an awesome dressing. I had the bone in pork chop with apple chutney that was one of the best pieces of pork I have ever had. Two had the shrimp an grits, and another the salmon. None of us were disappointed with the preparation and the taste. The décor and service were great, and the restaurant was hopping. I highly recommend this for a dining experience. And, the prices were not at all outrageous.

This southern table restaurant was a pleasant find in Columbus, GA. The service was on-point. My scallops were prepared and served just the way I like them. My son enjoyed a huge wet-cured steak, which was delicious. The shabby chic decor was a little clumsy, and sitting on sheet metal chairs got old after a while, but those were minor detractors to a very good dinner.
