Stopped on our way home to birmingham. I used to live in California and Texas so I love a good taqueria. We started with the guacamole which was freshly prepared to order. Perfect. Then we had tacos: Carne Asada, Barbacoa and roasted pork. My kids had the carne Asada on flour tortillas. We ordered a side of avocado and sour... More

I had to wait 20 minutes to have a waitress taking my order. I ordered a shrimp cocktail, it was the worst shrimp cocktail I ever had. The sauce is spicy ketchup only mixed with water to make it liquid. The shrimps looked and tasted like thaw precooked shrimps (the one you can buy from supermarkets) and, they were mushy.... More

Like most of the other reviews, the restaurant is in a grocery store so I was unsure I was in the right place. The restaurant is in the back right corner of the store. It is amazing food. Not greasy, or watered down. They have a lot of good choices. Of you are looking for real Mexican this is the... More

As previous posts... don't let the outside scare you off. It is really in the back of a grocery store. Food is truly authentic, not Americanize & not a large menu. Fajitas don't come out in a sizzling cast iron frying pan and don't ask for a taco salad (like my mom did, server had no idea what she was... More

WOW! I was staying at a near by hotel and decided to search for a local Mexican Restaurant. Needless to say, if you judge a book by its cover, this place is not for you. But if you walk into that little supermarket, make a right towards the back and try the food, I guarantee that you will not be... More

Being from Texas and raised on authentic Tex Mex in and around San Antonio, you tend to be fussy about what some call "Mexican" food. Most of the time it is just overpriced "Americanized" junk. This place is for real. I almost don't want to share how great this place is for fear it will change. But, I've been here... More

Eaten at such an authentic resturant, don't let the location scare you ! It's in the back of the little store. They were fast , it was all hot and fresh, and cheap! We ordered and SO much food came out I was in awe ! I would take them with me back home if I could ;)

Buried in the back of a family grocery the restaurant is well worth the time and effort. Very authentic food and atmosphere. The sea of camouflage uniforms is a dead give away that the food will be good!

Like others say, don't let the location scare you off. The food is great and the market is a must stop, buy something while you are at it

It was good authentic Mexican food that was freshly prepared upon your arrival. The prices were reasonable but the restaurant was a little warm.
