Rude, terrible service. Disrespectful staff and food not worth the service. Not classy, professional.

This is definitely where the locals come for their seafood. The oysters were fresh, cold, sweet and delicious. The catfish is as tasty as you are going to experience anywhere. The service is professional and friendly. This where you should eat seafood in Columbus.
I always check TA for a hidden gem or a local's dive place to eat, especially seafood. This place was great! The neighborhood getting to the restaurant was a little sketchy in places but no problems and there were plenty of people coming and going...in and out of the building. The oyster on the half shell were very good! Fresh and only 12 bucks for a dozen! The 3 of us all ordered the seafood platter and it was very good. The service was outstanding. The prices were outstanding. The only negative was that they are closed 3 days a week. Not sure if that is due to covid staffing or that was their normal hours pre-covid. When I am back in the area, I will be back!! The place was clean too! I love raw oysters and fried seafood and was very satisfied with both! A margarita would have been great but they don't sell ANY alcohol. The waitress did say that BYOB was ok and I'll remember that for next time. A great local place that really is a Hidden Gem!More
This restaurant is my favorite restaurant out of all restaurants. I come here every other Saturday to get the catfish plate. I have tried a lot of stuff on their menu, and it's all good. But the catfish is to die from. I got that...come in every other Saturday to get it. I forgot to tell you I tried 55 miles one way. And it is worth it. All the people that work in now are great, especially D and Sherry. They are the two Greatest waitress you ever seen.More
Rose Hill occupies a modest building and the interior is equally plain. Several characteristics, however, set it apart from other seafood restaurants I have experienced. To begin with, the food is excellent. I ordered a half dozen oysters as an appetizer and returned a week...later to order 12. The quality of the oysters was on a par with far more expensive restaurants in Atlanta. Second, the service was outstanding; the servers were attentive without being intrusive. And finally, it's one of a very small group of restaurants where the sound level permitted conversation with others at the table. If you're looking for good food at a reasonable price, I recommend Rose Hill. If you're looking for a formal atmosphere, you may want to look elsewhere.More
My favorite place,to eat in Columbus. Great food and service! Whether it is broiled or fried it is always cooked to perfection!
Good seafood, pleasant waitress but no lolly gagging. Attentive to tables needs but needed a little slowing down. Ordered fried shrimp dinner. It came straight from the cooker to table. Nice, fresh and hot. Shrimp good Fries ample and good Coleslaw was not my favorite...but all coleslaw different. Okay Will I go back? Most definitelyMore
Want perfectly cooked catfish? Go to Rose Hill! The food is always fried or grilled perfectly. The service is spot on and the consistency is always good.
Always great food and service here. A true local hangout and byob. A group of us go there frequently.
So we always go for Oysters. We have never sat in the restaurant area, however, if one goes to the market area, there is a bar to sit at that is BYOB. LOL. Anyway, they shuck the oysters right in front one you. They are...super fast. They will also suck them if you call in and come to pick them up. Shucking is a lot of work, so please tip well. It is not an upscale atmosphere at all, but considering they have super well priced oysters inland, it is all we needed. Love this place!More
Met my cousins here for lunch while visiting in Columbus. Although they were very busy, we got seated fairly quick, our waitress was friendly and took our orders as soon as we were seated. Our food was delicious and our order was right, except I...ordered fries and was served a baked potato. As soon as I brought it to the attention of our waitress she brought me out nice fresh and hot fries. Prices were very good for the food we ordered. I plan to take my husband there.More
Worth the wait. I will come back. The catfish is delicious with large servings. Love the atmosphere.
Tonight I went to Rose Hill Seafood Company expecting a delicious seafood meal. I have eaten the Best broiled flounder at this restaurant for many years. However, tonight I ordered a dry baked potato and broiled flounder. First, I was served a rotten baked potato...(the server graciously acknowledged the potato was bad and replaced it with a fresh hot one). She served me the broiled flounder and said, ’ this broiled flounder is dry’ I was confused, because I did not order dry broiled flounder. She said, ‘ well it really is not dry, butter is on all the broiled flounder dishes. The fish was extremely dry! After she gave me my bill, she said I hope your fish was OK. Hopefully, the owner will read my review and encourage his staff to listen more carefully to customers when they place their order.More
Brought my family here for a dinner. Oysters were great. Food was fantastic. Not looking for pamparing from the servers. However, they were very nice. Just try not to try to compete with people during froday saturday sundays because it going to be pack. Will...forever eat here.More
This restaurant is a Columbus icon with a tradition of great seafood and service. We visited on a Wednesday evening at 6 PM. Unfortunately, our experience showed management has lost their former passion. Both male and female bathrooms were dirty and had paper strewn about...the floor. Shady characters flanked the half full parking lot. We were greeted with a nod and quickly seated in a half-empty dining room. My wife had the whole catfish and I had clam chowder and fried oysters. The clam chowder was out of a Campbell’s soup can (we saw the can). Our baked potatoes were charred black on the outside and both entrees were served cold on cold plates. The owner spent his time sitting at a friend’s table for 35 minutes while both waitresses and kitchen staff sat, following his example. No check-back from the waitress or cashier on our experience. I’m sad to see a disinterested owner in a formerly great restaurant!More
