Wonderful!! Friendly! Homemade flavors like coconut. Mask and covid safety. Lovely lemon blueberry scone. Cool university vibe. Prefer over iron bar for coffee, price, uniqueness, and supporting local ordinances. Thank you!!

Perfect cup of coffee

Found this gem passing through Columbus on the way to Orlando. What a great surprise, we love a great cup of coffee and we found it here. Staff was kind and helpful. If you are in the area, stop in and grab a cup, we will. Thank you for your excellence.

Worth the walk!

Yum! They were so busy but our drinks and sandwiches were great. Helpful! Tasty! The BEST chai latte I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to visit them again when we are back in Columbus! Skip your hotel fair and try this spot.

I've had better

Each time we travel, we make it a point to support local establishments so we found our way here. The flavored coffee varieties has us intrigued but it was just too much. Too sweet and too artificial. The food was dry and bland. Not at all impressed. The staff wasn't near as friendly as other places we had visited.

Very nice cup!

First let me say that the temperature inside was perfect on this hot day when drinking coffee. The coffee was very smooth and to me had a slight hint of a Smokey flavor. (Latte). The lemon muffin got a 10 and was very delicious.

We stopped in here several times on our two visits to Columbus. Excellent coffee, very nice folks. Convenient location.

Terrible experience

I stopped in this coffee shop on 4/17/21 and was denied service because I cannot wear a mask. I explained I had a medical exemption but they did not care and do not offer any accommodations for people who have medical exemptions. They did not even offer me the option to step outside and receive curbside service. Their words were cruel, rude and discriminatory. I left feeling humiliated in front of my friends and the other patrons.

Now my favorite coffee spot in Columbus

Prior to this I had only been to the Iron Bank. While Iron Bank is good, I don't find them to be quite as friendly and welcoming as Fountain City. They take their craft seriously at Fountain City. While taking the first sip of my cortado the barista said that he noticed his shots seemed a little off and offered to make me another. I was impressed that he was that into his job to offer this without me even really noticing anything. They have a full breakfast menu and nice vibe for enjoying your cup of joe.

Stopped in Before Saturday Market

Great shop with friendly staff. Were there early so not too busy but the lined did get long later in the day. We drank our coffee on the patio and chatted with some locals. Had espresso drinks and a muffin.

Don't go here for food!

I've been here a few times now, but have only ever gotten coffee- which has been fine. If you don't want to wait in line at Iron Bank for coffee, I would recommend you go here. However--- do not go here for the food! I went with a friend and we both ordered paninis. After waiting TWENTY-FIVE minutes when the shop had maybe one other customer waiting for food, they finally brought out the sandwiches. After that wait, we were expecting something amazing! Instead, we got the sandwiches thrown on to two plates with absolutely nothing else on it. It was the most tasteless sandwich I've ever had, and I ordered the Caprese panini, which is something I've had on countless occasions. It wasn't even Caprese- there were maybe two tomatoes, plain cheese clearly seasoned with store bought Italian seasoning, no pesto in sight, and no fresh mozzarella. Never again!

Came here with friends to grab a drink. Got a caramel macchiato. Very good. The staff was very helpful and greeting. They have a long list of specialty drinks. They offer a military and student discount.

The staff are friendly and helpful and there are over a dozen specialty lattes from which to choose. I tried the Banana’s Foster and it tasted like banana rum custard. My friend ordered the Snickers latte and it tasted just like a Snickers. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet and is a nice place to read, study or hang with friends.
