I have tried everything you can think of at this restaurant and it has all been delicious. Their steaks are perfection but even better with their special steak sauce that they make themselves. You're gonna be full after dinner but you have GOT to have dessert. I suggest the peanut butter pie. Oh my goodness.

Just like the title says, dollar for dollar Hunters pub has the best steak. I have eaten at places like Mortens, Hondo's and Ruth's Chris and enjoyed the steak more, but at double to triple the cost. The ambience leaves something to be desired as the building is a former cinder block gas station. But as long as you know... More

I love this place!! They have the best ribeye around. They also have great fried lobster tails. The place looks a little scary on the outside but don't let the looks scare you away.

Tried a lot of steaks in my life especially from places that claim the best - this place has it hands down.. The only way I knew of this place was from frequenting black cow in Columbus ( sister restaurant ). We drove 35 mins from fort benning to find this place in the middle of nowhere off the 185,... Ate with the family after a competition in Columbus and was extremely satisfied. Steaks were perfect, and believe me I never say that because my dad owned a steak house. They may serve the coldest beer in the state of Georgia, which certainly adds to the experience. Worth the drive and wait for sure.

This restaurant is usually crowded. The food is okay..... not great. Best not to order wine with dinner. We go here once or twice a year when we pass by and there are not a lot of cars. For fine dining, we go elsewhere

A joint is a questionable looking place with really good food. That describes Hunters. Inside an old service station, terrible decor but great food and service. Worth the trip a few minutes outside downtown.

Wanted something non-chain for dinner and found this place based on yelp reviews! About 25-30 min from town, close to FDR park. Absolutely worth the drive and the wait! Small building on the side of the road... But from the amount of cars you could tell that this was a popular place! Grabbed wine and waited outside, enjoying conversation with... More

This place never ceases to amaze me. No matter how long the wait it is always worth it. I always enjoy the environment including the laughter of the children who are dining with their families even when we are not. I have been going to Hunters for well over 20 years now and it just seems to get better with... More
