Seems like Hunters has quite a reputation for people from miles around. We have been there twice and I still do not see what the draw is. The food is average priced, the steaks are good, but not great, The service is excellent. Skip the deep-fried lobster tails - what a way to ruin lobster! The worst part of the... More

We heard this was a great place to eat, a little dive in a tiny town. Took our family out for a birthday dinner and everyone was happy and full..at the beginning The steaks were well seasoned, the potatoes were huge and not microwaved. The cheese toast is a must try but skip the platter, all store bought and cooked... More

It's not much to look at from the outside but all the stories and gossip I had heard about Hunter's Pub was spot on. Situated at the crossroads of state roads 103 and 219 in rural Hamilton Georgia outside Columbus, the place was packed and for a good reason. Friendly staff, cold beer, and an awesome steak. Nothing more to... More

This was our second visit to Hunter's Pub. I'm not much of a steak eater. I usually eat fish or grilled chicken. The menu is limited and the prices are high. Their special was fish and the server couldn't tell us where the fish came from. The price was $27 for the fish dish. I don't mind paying for a... More

You will usually wait, and it is worth the wait. This is all about the food, so do not go looking for a "steakhouse experience" in Atlanta. My husband usually orders the mashed potatoes with whatever entree - homemade mashed potatoes. This time I ordered the petite filet and it was delicious. One of our friends ordered the special, which... More

Never had a bad meal. After waiting about 20 minutes on a Friday night (amazing!), we were served quickly and very efficiently. Food out quickly. Very hot and steaks cooked to perfection. Hands down best steak around. Kind of loud, but what can you expect in a cinder block building?

This restaurant was recommended by a friend. we were staying in LaGrange, about twenty five miles away and decided on dining here. Glad we made the choice. We arrived just a few minutes after 5:00 p.m., that's when they open on the weekends, parking lot was full and there were cars parked off the road on the other side of... More

Rumors abound in Atlanta of an extraordinary steakhouse in West Georgia. There are whispers about a hole-in-the-wall, roadside joint way out in the country that surpasses them all — Ruth’s Chris, Bones, Morton’s & Del Frisco’s. There’s idol gossip that if you head south on 85S, take Exit 21 to 185S and get off at Exit 25 that you will... More

Another suggestion given by a friend. Situated on the corner of Highway 116 and 219 is the only building that looks like a bait shop or corner store. Don't be swayed by the looks of the place. This is no frills dining and the only music you'll hear is from a juke box. There's no cloth napkins or linen table... More

We ate there last night. The chicken plate was the worst that I have ever had. I think it was chicken left over from Saturday. It was extremely dry with no flavor. The spaghetti was from a can. It was absolutely deplorable. I'll not darken their door again and if you can read this, don't bother going there. It's a... More
