We arrived and were quickly seated. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the smoked chicken ( because other reviewers raved about it), brisket, and pulled pork. Everything was awesome and we were so full we worried about how we were going to make it to the car.

This is always our first stop as when we leave the airport. Excellent "southern home cooking" with friendly service. The portions are large and the prices are reasonable. The menu includes a broad selection including smoked meats, fish and barbecue specialties. Lots of fresh vegetables to choose from as well. Thank you Terry and Anne for always making us feel... Ho-hum bbq for the most part. The smoked chicken did standout though, it had good flavor. The stew was excellent as well. Pulled pork was overdone and mushy.

The aroma of barbeque in the air from our hotel enticed us to walk over and check the Barbeque Kitchen out. Walked in to friendly smiles and service. We had BBQ pork and cheese burgers. OUTSTANDING flavors in the meats and side items. The BEST homemade Cole slaw I have eaten.

After moving here in 1980 with Delta, I was asking for restaurants to visit. Imagine my surprise when the guys took me right across the street from the airport (old airport on Virginia Ave. at that time) for lunch. This place was (and still is!) your classic meat and three (or meat and two plus cobbler if you so choose).... More

We were looking for a good BBQ place near the airport and read the trip advisor reviews for this one. It's definitely a hot spot for locals for lunch. The ribs were very neat and the pulled pork and brisket were also tender. Add the corn bread, stew, beans, and coke slaw and it's a filling lunch for a good... More

The service was great. Good came out very fast and was delicious. You have to get the sweet tea here! It was so hard to choose from all the wonderful dishes of soul food but our server was very helpful.
