We had the good fortune to receive an invite to a night of music and spoken word at this fine establishment!!! We did not eat, but heard and experienced a wonderful exposure to to the Best of Ireland!

I came to Kilshanny House back in June with my godmother Ann and went for a great walk which ended with a fantastic but simple lunch at Kilshanny House. A lovely, laid back place to go for honest and simple Irish cooking if you visit.

I was lucky enough to make it to one of the renowned Kilshanny House singing sessions on the first sunday of each month. I went alone with some trepidation, but received the warmest welcome from Mary, and was made to feel quite at home though surrounded by complete strangers. The singing was varied and magical. It was quite the experience... More

We LOVE the Kilshanny House! Charming Aidan pours the best pint of Guinness around, and Mary is wonderful and makes you feel at home. We have loved the singing circle Sundays and the Friday night sessions. Lovely, lovely place!

I travel a lot but this is one of the nicest pubs I have come across. It just feels right from the minute you walk in the door, the decor is right, it has been thought about and it shows. If you are in this part of Clare then you must try a pint of Guinness whilst listening to some... More

After getting soaking wet in a down pour at the Cliffs of Moher (and seeing nothing), we stopped at the Kilshanny House hoping to find a place to dry out, have a drink and maybe a meal. There was only one other couple there with their three year old at that time (about 4 pm). They were lingering after their... More

Kildhanny House would be my first recommendation for anyone visiting the Cliffs. The food was fantastic and the restaurant is cozy. Mary and Adian were such welcoming and wonderful hosts. Adian makes the brown bread and it was the most delicious brown bread we had in Ireland. Mary brought us out a free cup of her mushroom soup because she... More

Went to a trad night and unbelievable 13 musicians showed up to play. What a great session and such a variety of instruments, fiddles, guitars, mandolin, button accordion, bohdran, flute, tin whistle, uilleann pipes, harp. Amazing

It was great to visit whilst over from London - I was really interested in all that Carl had to say. I certainly felt I had earned the food after 3.5 hours. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and the pub had a great atmosphere. I'd recommend it to anyone who comes to visit Co. Clare. I hope to come again soon... More
