this was a really lucky find! Just turning right to go into town and find a restaurant and there it was right opposite our parking. The decor is simple, the back terrace beautifully shaded, the staff friendly and helpful and the food freshly made and cooked and very delicious. Many locals eat here so that's always a good sign.

Let me start by saying, my wife really likes it. I, on the other hand, think it is a little pretentious. I'm a meat and potatoes kinda guy, and the food here is kinda, "trendy." I expect it might be the kind of eatery you'd find in Los Angeles or any other large metropolis. Again, my wife would write a... More

Great food and coffee at this unassuming cafe. I can through with my mother and kids looking for a quick bite. It wasn't quick, but was extremely tasty. The soup of the day was a chicken corn chile that knocked our socks off. The roasted veggie sandwich was also fabulous. There was something for everyone, and the wait staff was... More

We spend most of the summer just across the state line in Scaly Mtn but this is our most visited spot for lunch. I am addicted to the Veggie Pita (with hummus) sandwich. My husband is happy all over the menu with turkey slaw sandwich. We both love the fresh, homemade soups. And the back patio is a perfect outdoor... More

Very nice sandwiches after hiking around Clayton. A bit of a funky vibe inside (seating includes a church pew and old Emory University dorm room chairs). Great sandwiches and desert.

We stopped for lunch on a lazy vacation day. One girlfriend had been here before and recommend it and we all loved it (3 of us). I had a late breakfast and opted for a cup of java and a chocolate cookie. The other two had yummy veggies on beautiful and tasty break. The cookie was nothing special and made... More

G&B, for some 20 years now, has been a Savannah Street landmark for great food, coffee and wine-by-the-glass in a conversation-friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Clayton's first coffee shop/wine bar/lunch cafe' is arguably still the best. The new proprietors have built upon the strong foundations of the founder and broadened the daily specials to include egg salad, meatloaf, tenderloin, and chicken and... More

We ate lunch here as part of a group of 12 people. The menu offerings are very broad and had something for everyone's tastes. The decor is very cute and the service was very friendly and attentive. I loved the flavored but unsweetened ice tea. While I did not drink wine or beer, I did note that it was available.

Fantastic vegetarian choices, freshly made teas, a pup-friendly back porch, and the desserts are to die for! I'll be back but next time I'm bringing my dog!
