This place used to have a very good reputation and I've eaten here several times over the years while visiting relatives. Apparently, when Edna was alive, it was very good. But, I just can't say this now. There is a limited menu depending on what day it is. I could understand this if things were freshly made, but they are... More

When ya go in and set down you look up and you expect to see your grandmother, mom or your aunt step around the corner. We have eaten there several times and have yet to have a bad meal. Don't go in lookin for something fancy cause ya won't find it. What you will find is just good down home... More

Food here was OK but not great. With The Village restaurant just up the road, I don't think I'll be coming back here!

Regional southern cooking. Perfectly. Crisp fried chicken like grandma made, tender ham shanks shredded and an assortment of side dishes and to die for homemade pie. I love love love the peanut butter pie.

We found this restaurant on Roadfood.com and drove 40 minutes out of our way so I was expecting something heroic and it wasn't really that. My husband and I both had fried chicken, which the waitress told us everyone loved and described carefully how they prepared it. It tasted like it had spent quite some time in a warmer at... More

The food is mediocre with lot's of items tasting fresh from the can, instant or frozen dinner heated up. The dessert was the only real appealing item with peanut butter pie. The service was acceptable. Everyone raves on about how great this restaurant is but I was not impressed.

As often in a small town, you go in for some good country cooking and are meat with half fresh and half processed. I had the fried chicken, mashed taters and greens. The chicken was good enough, but the potatoes were from a box, yuck. The greens were slightly bitter, letting me know they were processed (boxed or bagged) and... More
