We had spent most of the afternoon at the Booth Museum of Western Art (which I highly recommend-it's a beautiful facility and has excellent western and civil war collections). My friends who are museum members had dined at the Appalachian Grill before and highly recommended it. I was not disappointed! First, since I am an anti noise freak, it was... More

We have lived in the area for many years but have never tried this restaurant. We did try it this past month. While the ambiance was nice and the restaurant decorated beautifully, the food was not what I expected. But the real surprise was when we got the check. I love fine dining but our bill was extremely high for... More

Excellent service at the bar, we ate at the bar with interesting food menu and many choices of local, imported and craft beer. Recommended by the hotel. Local and not a chain place with plenty of parking nearby. Seafood and other meats or pasta available at reasonable prices.

First time I visited we were unable to find the restaurant but assured it was well worth finding, we tried again. I was keen to try proper southern cuisine and boy of boy is this the place I loved it and thoroughly recommend it. There's something on the menu for everyone and portions to suit the greediest eater!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. BUT that is all I can say good about the restaurant. I had ribeye, it was tasty but very chewy. For $30.95 it should have been a little bit more tender. My husband the halibut for $29.95, it was so small. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Be sure to come with a big appetite- just the cornbread and house salad (which comes with the entrée) were enough and then the entrées are large too! The salad was great, and I ordered the pecan chicken with mashed sweet potatoes and cherries. It was delicious and tasted like Thanksgiving in the best way. For dessert, the table shared... More

After several days of resort food at Barnsley Garden, we drove into Cartersville to Appalachian Grill for dinner. The quaint restaurant was a worthy trip as the generous portions of Crab Cakes and Salmon were delicious. The staff was attentive and the atmosphere was just right for a Thursday evening on the town. The salads were ample and also tasty.

We've never had a bad meal here. Service is always good. Everyone is always smiling and nice. You can eat inside or out, and the cozy atmosphere is quite nice. The only negative is that it's almost a little too dark inside. Navigating to the restroom might be a little tricky if you're not familiar with the layout. They play... More

After eating here, I seriously doubt the negative reviews that I see posted. The food was great, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

Really well cooked/displayed food. Good amount of menu options. Dinner Salad was wonderful, fresh and not boring! Nothing bland about it! Great sauces! Service was wonderful. Decor is rustic woodsy. Great date spot, or gathering with friends spot. Meal was fantastic over all.

Thank Brenda W
