Such a place that you absolutely must not miss if you visit Belgium. A pub with a wide range of beers at a reasonable price, and a bartender who is very passionate about his profession and who made us really want to travel back here!...Highly recommend a visit here, you will not regret it. Thanks to the bartender, this is the absolute best pub we have visited!More

Very nice and friendly place and staff. The decoration is based on beer advertisements. They have an excellent choice in beers. The food was nice.

Located on the crossroads, between East and West Vleteren, this a a decent location. Met two colleagues, who wanted a late lunch - both had the entrecôte steaks, which they thoroughly enjoyed. I didn’t eat myself - merely soft drinks. Staff decent and friendly.

We got shut out at the cafe associated with St Sixtus (closed for remodeling - #mooseoutfrontshouldhavetold us). Wandering around trying to find somewhere else to have a snack and a local beer, we came across this cafe/bar. We are very glad we did! Great friendly...staff and a good selection of both food and Belgian beers.More

The meal we had at 't Molenhof was what you would expect of this place: decent food for a good price. The style of the restaurant brings you back to Flanders of previous ages.

We spent the afternoon at De Struise Brewery, and then walked across the road for dinner and drinks here. Amazing food, great beer list and excellent.

This year they helped host a second beer festival. We arrived Friday night, busy busy busy, but they made sure all were looked after. We had a fantastic, well cooked meal. Beer selection is great. The owner even found time to taxi us back to...our bed and breakfast place. Nothing is too much troubleMore

It's been a few years since I first came to the Molenhof. But nothing much has changed in those five passing years. Madame still runs the place impeccably, the fresh beer list is superb, the bottle list fabulous and the food excellent. It might not...look beautiful on the outside but the interior with the stained glass ceiling, the profusion of metal beer adverts and cosy panelled bar area is warm, nostalgic and friendly. Service is also excellent. Bright young barman, attentive attractive ladies and the friendly owners. If it's your first time then try some of the local beers (Struise or Deca) then at 6pm retire to the restaurant where I recommend you try a tagine or stew cooked in the local beer. It's good rustic stuff, but you won't be disappointed.More

I had driven past it and was delighted when the hotel offered it as an option for evening meal ie: Hotel drops you off anf pub brings you back! It was Staurday night and busy. I had the house special moules & frites which were...a bit gritty, but looking at how many wee ordered no surprise, but dropped the "score" They were catering to a local; clientele, so they took forever to get back. All niggly stuff, but not enough to give it a miss .. good 4 1/2 and nice staff, who avoided you if you spoke English, putting pressure on the English speaker / wrangler!More

We had a lovely meal in the garden. The waitress did bring us a plate of cold meat as apetizers, but we had to decline it saying we don't eat meat. She did appologize (even though there was no reason fo her to do so,...she couldn't have guessed it!) and brought us cheese instead. Then a few minutes later, we got veggie nems coocked especially for us... those little extra touch really do make the difference. Beside, once we got our meal, it was quite simply delicious! Lovely place, we'll deffo go back!More

Lovely home made food. Friendly service. Banging tunes. Waiter spoke good English. I had steak frites - cooked quite rare and very tasty, son had croque monsieur, daughter child’s pasta ( huge portion), and Mrs C the goats cheese salad. Top notch. Would highly recommend.

This place was recommended by the locals (whom we ate with) after a day of drinking across the street at Struise Brewery. The food was great and so was the atmosphere. We had a great large part dinner with friends and the highlight was the...great beer they had on the menu. The bartender Bjorn was also very friendly and made the night extra special with a tour of the beer cellar ( I hope this doesn't get him in trouble) Sorry Bjorn! Eat here, be happy, be merry.More

In my homevillage Oostvleteren this is my favourite restaurant: it is cosy, the staff is very experienced, nice and witty, the food is great and the wine is plenty. Who likes beer, finds a beer list there that is quite something! Bjorn, the beer 'sommelier'...can tell you all about it. We always come back here!More
