last year, I gave this a 5 star review (based on a carry out order). Now, I am forced to change it to one star. Food is great; however, it's set up like fast food where you order at the register then sit down and...wait on your food. There is only ONE register. The woman writes everything down by hand (and because of the long line, no doubt, she takes a painfully long time with each customer - she is in no hurry at all to get folks through her line). she physically has to take a ticket back to cooks (after she painstakingly writes it all down by hand), and then comes back and punches it in the register to come up with a total. Minimal, type it into a laptop and print it off to take back to the cooks). Why did I eat here? It is the only seafood place in town. my 80 year old folks wanted seafood so bad Saturday night, that I literally stood in line from 4:45 (they don't even open until 5) until 6:05 at which time I then placed an order. NO JOKE. My back and legs were hurting so bad the next day from standing still in one place so long that I had to load up on ibuprofen and couldn't do anything - lost a whole day out of life. The line goes outside the restaurant and the temperature was 45 degrees. I stood outside for 45 minutes, before even getting inside the door to wait another 35 minutes before I go to the register (an hour and 25 minutes I waaited just to place an order). When finally getting inside, I saw where the line could actually wrap inside the building at least getting people out of the cold weather; however, the owner either doesn't allow it and/or doesn't choose to tell those standing out in the cold that they can wrap the line inside. I think they don't want to see the mass of people they are dealing with who want to order food. Out of sight, out of mind. They need at least 2 registers going. They need to modernize and process the orders and payments in a quicker fashion. MY MAIN ISSUE HOWEVER, IS NOT DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THE LONG LINE AND HAVING TO STAND OUTSIDE. After waiting 1.5 hrs just to order, I was too exhausted to eat.More
