I am told this is not the original owner of Piccola's. That the food is as good as it used to be but how the restaurant run is not. Our experience was that the food was indeed very good but incredibly slow service from the kitchen, not the staff/wait folks. We will go back to try other items. The wait to get in was so long last night we ordered four pizzas to go, which was proof of their slow back house processes.

Thanks for the feedback. We continually evaluate our staffing vis-a-vis seating capacity, number of guests, and to-go orders each day. Our talented kitchen crew - 17 years for our lead cook and 10 years for her two assistants - give tremendous effort to prepare exceptional Italian food for hundreds of guests each day. This past week we witnessed our busiest week ever and we did our best to schedule all-hands-on-deck. We'll keep trying to do better. Thanks for your promise to return. We appreciate your business. My family of four arrived

My family of four arrived 30 minutes until close and we were welcomed with open arms anyways. Our server Sydney was very friendly and attentive. I got the seasonal pumpkin soup for only a dollar More which was absolutely delicious. I ordered the manacotti as my meal and the marinara sauce tasted so fresh and tasty it is definitely homemade. My kids shared a portion of lasagna and cleaned their plates. My husband got the chicken Parmesan, he was very pleased with the portion size and flavor. The owner paid a visit to our table and made us feel like part of the family. He gave us a free gift for being first time guests which happened to be mini cannolis for dessert! We took them home and are super excited to try them! We were also handed a coupon for our next visit. We will be back soon to try more of the menu! Thank you so much for everything! We had a great experience!

Where do I start....service and menu items knocked our socks off! Tamera our server was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable of all the items on the menu! The garlic Italian dressing was point on! Finding a garlic dressing in Florida has been exhausting! The dressing is made at PICCOLA from scratch! The dressing alone makes me want to come back tomorrow! I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and it was mixed with the best sauce I have ever had. It was creamy and lightly coated the pasta! My husband ordered the pasta with oil, fresh garlic and mushrooms! And yes the mushrooms were fresh not canned! John the owner stopped by our table at the end of our meal. We had a great conversation and found the lead cook has been at this location for 17 years! That explains why everything has the traditional Italian flavors! Definitely a big hit with us and we will be back soon! Can't wait to try the pizza!

Excellent Pizza with 5 toppings

This was our first time there. We had been craving Pizza. When we got there they had a 18 inch pizza 5 topping special. It was so good. The owner came to our table to make sure everything was good and was very personable. Our waitress was also very nice and attentive. We had dessert which was also excellent. They even gave us a coupon before we left for 20% off on our next visit. We can't wait to go back t o try something else. Thank you so much for a wonderful dinner and first time experience at your restaurant. It was really enjoyed and appreciated and best of all its so close to our home. Thank You for a nice evening. See you soon~

Worse service ever.

We went to this place for my wife’s 71 birthday. We have been here before and usually had an ok time. The waitress was average at best. My wife and I ordered our pasta ” el dente”. We have had it cooked this was here before. The waitress said she knew how we wanted out pasta. Shortly all 4 orders came to the table. Our guests also ordered pasta, but cooked normal. Our order was cooked the same as the other two. Ours was way over cooked and there’s was perfect for them. We brought the mistake to our waitress. She told us that a new cook was on duty this night and probably did not know how to cook our pasta. I summoned the owner and he told us we would get our meal in less than 5 minutes. After 25 minutes no meal. Our guests finished their meals. I went to find the owner and a staff member told us we didn’t have to pay and that the owner had left the restaurant. No one there cared , never got our meal, and after going there several times in the past we will NEVER return again. They lost 4 good customers and no one in the place seems to care, even the owner! I can’t believe how we were treated.

Great Friendly Meal

Went here for dinner while in Zephyrhills. The aroma hits you on the way in, making you think of Grandma's Sunday kitchen. The service was great and everyone was friendly and cared to ensure you were enjoying yourself. The salad was very fresh and crisp. The garlic bread toasty and warm. The meat sauce and meatballs were wonderful, flavorful and like grandma would make. The portions were plentiful too. I would eat here anytime I am in Zephyrhills.

Won’t return

We visited Zephyrhills today and took two friends two Piccolo’s. I’m sorry to say we won’t return on our next visit. My wife’s chicken sub was very good. My friends Philly cheese steak who is almost too tough to chew. His wife’s stuffed shells left much to be desired. My lasagna was mediocre at best and the extra meatball had more breadcrumbs than meat. Sorry folks.

A pleasant surprise

I visited this place many years ago, I was not impressed by the food or service. Yesterday my husband suggested we go there, I was not looking forward to this since the last time was terrible. Well let me tell you, this place is AMAZING !!! New owners, new menu, awesome service !! The food was GREAT !! I loved the Princes sauce normally I do not like sauce , too spicy, but this sauce is AWESOME ! And our waitress Kimmy was the best !! We and will be returning to this place and looking forward to our new friend and awesome waitress Kimmy !!!!

Though there was a major snafu with my order for my elderly parents, the owner, John Bedford, reached out with a well written and classy apology. He even gave me $ to spend on my parents' next meal. I can assure him (and all readers), they would want to spend that money in no other restaurant than Piccola Italia Restaurant. Thank you John for making this right and for running such a wonderful restaurant. The food is fantastic (I visit from Wisconsin) and the "mom and pop" feel is inviting. Keep up the good work!

My favorite place to eat in Zephyrhills!!!!

Try to go there with a friend every week or so. Have brought out of town guest here 2 times We all agree that this is by far the best Italian restaurant I have ever enjoyed The meatballs are divine and my favorite, the calzones are to die for. Friend always gets Eggplant Parmesana. Staff is friendly and efficient.

What a Find!!!

We came to celebrate a birthday - with no expectations. It was the halfway mark (one hour) for the two couples. The food was amazing; the staff outstanding. Our entrees were: chicken marsala, cheese ravioli, lobster ravioli, and chicken parm. Also had one salad and three soups: lobster bisque, chicken noodle and pasta fagioli. Everything was delicious - including the cannoli and tiramisu. On top of it all, prices are reasonable. We will definitely add Piccola Italia Restaurant to our list of favorite places to eat

It’s alright

New to the area and looking for pizza. This pizza is okay. We had the Sicilian. Overall, it was okay. I don’t like sauce that is super over seasoned and this sauce is heavy on the Italian seasoning and oregano. The cheese and crust were a bit bland. Staff is great but would try something else on the menu in the future.

Thanks for your feedback, and for giving our pizza a try. Although we won't be changing our recipe for homemade pizza sauce and dough, and we will be sticking with premium, Grande cheese that tops all our pies, we realize our pizzas may not be first choice for absolutely everyone. So we just keep trying to put out a consistent, high quality pie for hundreds of guests each week who say we are tops for them, and we will continue to prepare and provide the same product that has worked so well for more than three decades. Kudos to you for keeping open for another try of something else on the menu. We're pretty confident you will discover many Italian treasures closer to your liking. Hope so. Everyone is so pleasant and helpful. Meals and atmosphere are great. Would highly recommend. Owners are very nice and sincere. They always interact with their guest. We go there every week. We have wonderful waitresses, Donna and Mandi. They know what we want before we even order.

Dinner with my aunt

I had to feel perms spaghetti and a salad with the garlic bread and only got a small portion and it was huge very very good for the money. Tasty friendly service nice atmosphere.

Best lemon cake EVER
