Between Al our great server with only two months on the job and a manager whom made sure our gift certificate was accepted we really had a nice meal. The burnt ends were very good in a foam bed of corn pudding. The Grande Board...was very good and so filling we could barely eat our hanger steak and frites. The steak was flavorful but a bit stringy. All and all our meal was really good.More

We go to the Ravenous Pig about every other year--from its original location to its present, well-appointed location. It's a special occasion venue for us. Last week three of us went to share a nice birthday dinner. Alas, the quality of the dishes was a...disappointment to us--from the Burnt Ends to the Ravioli--the chef has tried so hard to present traditional dishes in an invented manner that the intent was unrecognizable. And the price of the dinner was very expensive. I know the owners have hired a new chef with a decent reputation but it simply does not work. For consistent fine dining in Winter Park one would do better at Reel Fish or Hillstone.More

We drove by and decided to stop for some drinks and an appetizer. What a nice outside venue and great beer choices. I loved the Lone Palm for a pale ale and my husband enjoyed the Trucks and Trains for a fuller beer. However out...of the five we drank all were good. Very attentive service with refilling the water. We had the truffle fries. I would have liked them a little crispier but still good. Kind of pricey for $6 but that was the cost of each of the beers too. We will go back! Great service and beer selection!More

We were very excited to go to Ravenous Pig on Sunday to meet with family in such a lovely location. The restaurant has a great vibe and our table was out of the traffic and perfectly set up for our group. Ravenous Pig had been...recommended as a fun place, especially now with the beer garden. Unfortunately, going for brunch did not offer a very good value or very good food. The burgers were excellent and the portions were impressive with delicious fries. Everyone in our group who opted for a lunch sandwich as happy. Everyone who ordered a brunch item was disappointed. The frittata was by far the worse value with a couple of eggs and miniscule salad making up the plate. The crab cakes on the eggs benedict were mushy and under cooked, and did not include a side. The tamale portion was small as well. We might be back for sandwiches but certainly are not willing to pay the prices for the sparce portions and mediocre quality for the brunch menu.More

We understood this was a great restaurant and were excited to celebrate a family members birthday there. Reservations were honored and we sat immediately. Drinks were good. Schnitzel was only fair and pretty bland, but had sauce with little or no seasoning. Potato pancake needed...some seasoning but the waiter was unavailable to help. We had to ask for water refills and were empty at the end. One guest had French fries and they were a heap of limp, soggy, greasy fries. Steak was supposed to be well done but came out medium with only a brown edge. I'm sure the person who cooked it saw it totally red inside as it is served sliced. We would have sent it back but the waiter never came by. The dog enjoyed it, though. We felt rushed at the end. Nothing special about this place except the high prices.More

This return visit for WP overnight figuring Ravenous Pig was a must dine, as we had a great meal two years ago. So disappointed in the awful NY Strip which was not cooked to order and more importantly loaded with tendon. Revisions to steak offerings...need to be revised and brought back to Prime form.More

We just tried the happy hour here for the first time . The beer garden was closed for a private event so call first. That meant we were sitting in the Orange Avenue street side . The service was average but friendly . The happy...food and drinks was limited but delicious . I love their truffle fries . It was a good experience except for location .More

I made a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance for 3:15. In the AM I got a confirmation text. At 12:39 I receive a text from the restaurant to come in at 2:30 because they will be closing the restaurant at 3 PM. I’ll...pass on this place.More

The Ravenous Pig is an excellent restaurant. My wife and I highly recommend trying it. I had the aged NY Strip and my wife the pork schnitzel. Both were wonderfully prepared. She had the Laid up Lager and I the 5 Points West Coast IPA....Wish we could have tried a few more beers!More

Recurrently recognized as semi-finalists by the James Beard Foundation for "Best Chef-South,” husband-and-wife duo James and Julie Petrakis debuted The Ravenous Pig in 2007, and since that time the couple plus their growing cadre of concepts have been synonymous with Orlando’s evolving culinary scene. Both...raised in Winter Park, but serendipitously meeting in culinary school at CIA before deciding to return home, it is inside 565 West Fairbanks Avenue that guests are greeted by gracious hosts and educated servers, the kitchen on full display from the dining area while an on-site brewery quietly works in the bar area. Self-described as a Gastropub, the cookbook subtitled “Seasons of Florida” apt for a menu prone to frequent change, it was once settled at a window-side table that beverages were poured, Beers and Cocktails each pairing nicely with vibrant Cheddar Biscuits and umami-bomb Beignets plus tender, juicy Wings topped in pungent Blue Cheese. Indulging next in the Petrakis’ Tapas Board, Hummus with stewed Lamb far more memorable than either Octopus or Olives, fans of Shrimp and Grits will discover this version to be a game changer thanks to its depth and complexity while Foie Gras Terrine served with Cream, Apples and Toast could just as easily be part of the Dessert menu. Intrigued by seasonal Vegetables, a clever riff on Mexican Street Corn seeing Alabama White Sauce stand-in for Mayo, Vegetarians and omnivores alike are prone to be thrilled by BBQ Cauliflower with cooling Yogurt while handmade Pasta was seasonally special thanks to Venison, Chestnuts and Squash. Ordering another round with Dessert, Beer for some and Coffee for others, Pigtails take a clever twist on Churros with remarkable lightness, but dollar-for-dollar the better bet is either The Ravenous Pig’s decadent Chocolate Tart or nearly-molten Bread Pudding that ended 2020 balancing Eggnog Ice Cream with Cranberry Compote.More
