Wife and I had lunch here after a boat tour of some local lakes. Food was great. She had the "Chunky Chicken Salad" which also had zucchini bread with cream cheese. She said it was delicious and fresh. I had the "Godfather" sandwich - some...Italian meats and cheese on a toasted roll, with french fries. Sandwich was outstanding - meat was so fresh, and piled high. Fries were crispy and tasty. Server was a sweetheart too.More

Our brunch was simply delicious. There was a 15 min wait on a busy Saturday market morning (no big deal). The hibiscus mimosas are superb. I had the mushroom egg sandwich, and the chibatta bread was the best I've ever tasted. It was crisp without...being tough, soft, and seasoned to perfection. The potatoes were perfectly crispy. The price was reasonable as well. We will definitely eat here again.More

We went for a late breakfast during the week. The place is packed but we got a seat in decent time. The first thing we noticed were the giant cakes for dessert. Easily over a foot tall! That should have tipped us off. I love...fried green tomatoes so we started with an appetizer order of them. We each ordered breakfast omelets with “breakfast potatoes” (they seem to love them in Fla.). When the 7 slices of tomatoes came out I knew we ordered too much food! The tomatoes with dipping sauce were great. The omelets were huge and tasty. Potatoes were good but a little heavy for me at breakfast. We were stuffed and didn’t even think about a dessert! Extremely friendly and helpful wait staff too!More

After hearing about how great the cake was here, I knew I had to give it a try! When I finally made it to the area, it wasn’t time for a meal but for a snack. I went on a Sunday afternoon and they had...chocolate, carrot, and red velvet cake to choose from. I went with the red velvet and am so glad I did. It was outstanding and the icing was divine. The piece was huge, taking up an entire to-go container. The only downside was the price. $11 for a piece of cake. Kind of crazy but it was so good that I’d pay it again.More

This is my third visit to the Briar Patch over the last several years. We were happy they were still open past 2pm, when many places had turned us away and were closing. Our waiter was WONDERFUL. Very attentive and helpful. I had a Philly...cheesesteak with fries. It wasn't bad. My friend has the California Benedict which looked amazing and was a very generous portion, enough for two people. This is the first time I chose to eat in doors because of the heat. Unfortunately, it was the end of the meal that things turned sour. I saw a roach crawling across the floor and stomped it with my foot. I'm trying to tell myself it wasn't really a roach that I saw, but maybe another type of bug. I really didn't want to check out the bottom of my shoe to see for sure. However, my friend then saw another one crawling down the wall. Had we seen this BEFORE we ate, we certainly would have left. We had to tell our waiter what happened, after having pointing it out to another wait staff member who did not find it important enough information to pass along. My friend mentioned, "shouldn't you consider a discount if we had to kill roaches for you?" The manager then came back and apologized, with an offer of a 10% discount from the owner. He stated they had just sprayed a few days before. The experience left a bad taste in our mouths. We felt the response felt more like they were throwing us a bone than feeling very concerned about our experience there.More

The best experience in my life. It’s my first time that I had been at the morning on Winter Park. The quality, service, smiles, clean area, empathic zone, and more… I love that food, atmosphere, host, & all… thank you! The food is amazing.

How good was breakfast here! We could hardly decide what to eat, but we settled on the short rib Benedict and the southwest omelette. Both were delicious; I hardly think we could have gone wrong. Service was excellent. Our only knock is that the coffee,...while decent enough, could be better, and really the food deserves it to be better.More

Great food and atmosphere! Definitely one of my favorite brunch places!! They take very few reservations so you will have to wait in a long line outside, but it usually doesn't take more than half an hour to be seated. It is worth the wait!...Dogs are welcome and there's lots of people watching. Just a fun place with delicious food!!More

I wanted to eat outdoors, partly due to COVID and also because it was a beautiful day. So I waited 40 minutes for a table for two to open...and it was a weekday. But I went at the height of lunch hour...and it was worth...the wait. The service was fabulous and the food was delicious. I saw there was a chicken salad on the menu, so I asked if the chicken salad could be put on a sandwich instead...and they agreed. They also substituted a side salad for fries, and the salad was amazing! Really a wonderful experience.More

We stopped at this restaurant for lunch. We were attracted by the numerous outdoor tables. The menu offered many mouthwatering items. I chose the chicken salad which was served on lettuce leaves with a side of fresh fruit and zucchini bread spread with cream cheese....The plate was pretty as a picture when it was presented, and it tasted every bit as good as it looked. The fruit was so fresh and sweet! I can’t remember the last time I had such sweet fruit. Every plate that passed by looked amazing, especially the breakfast items like French toast! We will definitely return!More
