I ould have to say that this is trying to be a fine dining establishment, but has a way to go, although it's prices are fine dining. We went there for dinner before a show. The place had some diners bur rapidly got packed. The bread and butter were superb. The Beet Salad, $15, looked gorgeous, and tasted good but was quite pricey for what you got, I had the Breast of Duck, $34, which again arrived with great appeal. The breast was perfectly cooked, and in a tasty sauce, just not a whole lot there. My spouse had the Beef Stroganoff, $36, and commended the tasteful entree. Our server was very pleasant, however it did take a fair amount of time before our entrees were served. Thank goodness the bread was good. The food was all high quality, but you pay the price.

We are frequent customers of Pistache. Our last visit was on Thanksgiving. We had a great time. The food was good with a big BUT.....the chef consistently over cooks your steaks, just enough to be pain but not enough to send it back. So, they get poor marks on this account because when I go to a steakhouse, the steaks are cooked perfectly every time.

We were looking forward to trying this restaurant and while the ambiance was wonderful, in some areas, especially with my dish, it fell short of our expectations. We were a party of four and while the others were pleased with their dishes, I was not. I ordered the steak frites and the meat was so tough, I could barely cut it with the steak knife and it was even more tough to chew. The fries were great, however if they blew that part of the meal, it would have been an utter disgrace. Since our friend suggested the restaurant and made the reservations, I chose to struggle cutting and chewing through what seemed like a touch piece of leather, in order to avoid embarrassment on their part and so they would not have to wait for me to get another item on the menu. Also, while the server was great for the most part, when our meals were delivered, she should have stopped by to see if everything was ok and to ask if we wanted more wine, etc. Beyond that, the service was very good. My comment is this. How could a decent chef release such a terrible piece of meat from the kitchen? I do not recommend the Steak Frites!

The four of us had dinner prime time on Saturday night, the service was terrible and the entrees were poor at best. it was obvious the restaurant was overwhelmed. We have had many nice meals their in the past this wasn't one of them to say the least. I would recommend Pistache during the week, however they can't handle a crowd, it wasn't a pleasant experience .

In the hart of the Downtown section of West Palm Beach you will find an area of Bars, Music, Restaurants that is alive day and night. In the mist of all this is Pistache French Bistro. Here you can experience what it is like to dine at one of the well know French Bistros that line the Champs Elysees in Paris. From the French Onion soup to the Steak Frites and finally the Crème Brulee` you will have to check your GPS on your phone to make sure you are in West Palm and not across an ocean. This with a creative cocktail menu, interesting wine list and attentive service Pistache is worth a visit even to those who avoid the French.

We really liked Pistache. Only complaints were the prices of add-ons ($3 to make fries into truffle fries and $10 for a small side of asparagus), and our waiter was a little stretched. But, it is in a great location in downtown West Palm Beach, and they have tables out in the parking area with a nice canopy and lights. They are also strict about COVID protocols, with masks, gloves, paper menus, etc. Food is really good as well. We'll be back.

I was recently in West Palm Beach to celebrate a major birthday with a staycation at the nearby Ben hotel. I had attempted on Open Table to make a dinner reservation for our first night and it showed no availability . We hoped we might do better for lunch and were quickly seated on the outdoor terrace. (Note that they have build an additional tent like structure to accommodate the growing interest in outdoor dinning during Covid-19). Our server, Oscar, was efficient, personable and demonstrated great command of the menu and wine list. I had the featured panini and my partner had a seafood salad that far exceeded his expectations. As we left I inquired about the possibility of squeezing us in for dinner that night (it was a Tuesday) and was happy to know that there was some snafu with Open Table and were given another prime outdoor table. We had an amazing dinner. My ribeye steak was perfectly prepared with that nice balance of fatness that enhances the flavor and texture. My partner orders duck all over the world and proclaimed it to be not just an enormous serving one of the best in his experience. Again, Oscar was our server and he expertly guided us though a very special dinner. The next day we were held up in one of Florida's notoriously wild thunderstorms and returned to the hotel just after lunch was no longer served. We grabbed a couple of umbrellas and walked the two blocks to Pistache and again with Oscar as our guide had a delightful late lunch.

Made a reservation for Easter brunch for two people at fixed price if $85 each. Specified the table I wished to reserve and the staff member was able to research and confirm the table had been where I had dinner previously. The staff member assured me they could hold that table for me. This table was situated the furthest from other tables and because of a Covid, that was important for me. My guest from out of state and I arrived exactly on time for our noon reservation and we were told the table was occupied. The staff at the desk were not interested in even listening to what I described above. They only wanted to push us to the only other open table squeezed between two very full tables. They claimed they do not “reserve specific tables for anyone.” However, I recall seeing such signs on the tables there previously! The best they could offer was to have us wait until the customers at the table finished their entree and then their desert. Really? Not good enough. We left. The staff members didn’t seem to care. The food might be good, but if a place is mismanaged and service poor due to arrogant staff with no business sense or class, why spend more than $200 for that!

Service slow & no personality. Average food. Website menus & hours of operation incorrect. You will be dissatisfied. Manager had no care or solutions to our issues. This is the 4th dining night out all the other 3 with excellent food, service & experience. Turn off music & turn on obnoxious bright full lights within 10 minutes of delivering entrees. Really!!!!

Open Table Reservation 2110041403 Stayed downtown this weekend, at the Ben just around the corner, while I reside in Wellington, we often will stay downtown following a football weekend or just an evening downtown. We really wanted to try your place, honestly, we’ve heard great things. We confirmed a reservation for yesterday, arrived a few moments early and we were promptly seated – we were greeted almost immediately with water service and reviewed the menu. After waiting for almost 10 minutes, multiple servers walking by, no one addressed us – after waiting a few more minutes we simply politely walked out – this after saying “good day” the host staff, not one person attempted to ask us if everything was “OK” if they could help us – I was disappointed in the level of service, but even more shocked no one attempted to engage on the way out….. They obviously knew who we were when we walked out, as I received the a message via email that our reservation was canceled by the establishment – wow. Ended up having a great brunch just around the corner @ Batch. Disappointed....

Ordinary French food served in a pleasant surrounding. The onion soup is overly sweet and no one who has dined in Paris, or a truly great French restaurant would think of this place as anything Gallic. For the price it should be much better. Quelle Domage!

We are not going out to restaurants because of Covid, but we have been going to Pistache the past few years on our Christmas anniversary and wanted to get our meal from there. This time we ordered takeout the day before so we could have a larger selection. They did my duck breast rare so I could warm it to medium rare the next day. My husband had the beef bourgignion. Both were delicious. We also liked the two salads—squash for him and lentil for me. The only complaint was that we could not park in front to run in and pick up the food because of the tent spread across the sidewalk for outside eating. I hope we can dine in for our anniversary next year!

It's elegant recently got an Art Nouveau makeover. They have views of Intracoastal waterways and Centennial Park. It's French and very popular, customers are middle aged and older, lots of tourist mixed with locals. They have great staff.

I moved back to Palm Beach 3 years ago and today was my first time dining here. What was I thinking. It’s a hidden gem! A step into a quaint little French cafe with excellent service and outstanding food. The tables are set with white tablecloths which adds to the atmosphere of French Country elegance. I was warmly greeted by Melissa. She graciously took my picture and I appreciated the great photo. Oscar was my server. He was extremely attentive and professional. He went through the daily specials and asked if I wanted bread. Of course I said yes. I ordered the Pinot Grigio as I reviewed the lunch menu. The bread was warm and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with Soft sweet butter. A great start! My Pinot Grigio came out cold and crisp. The menu has something for everyone. Amazing cheese options, quiche, salads, burgers, croque Monsieur and Madam and so much more…. I asked Oscar if the Croque came with the mornay sauce over the sandwich. He said no in is in the sandwich but offered to have a side order for me. Brilliant! That is the way the Brassiere in the Four Seasons in Manhattan served it( many years ago and has since closed) It was my favorite! It did not disappoint! The sandwich was cooked perfectly crispy crust and delicious cheese and ham.. I poured the sauce over the sandwich and the rest was magical! It brought back amazing family memories of a time gone by.. It came with either fries or salad greens.. I chose the greens. Delicious! I truly wanted dessert but was so full I couldn’t order it… I will definitely next time. The service was excellent ( Oscar was excellent) and the food was beyond amazing! They have a beautiful patio and extended outdoor covered seating. I know I found my new favorite restaurant! We are so lucky to have it here in West Palm Beach. A little piece of Paris on Clematis. I highly recommend!

Pistache offers the French flair to any guest walking in. Colourful design and very friendly staff are welcoming you. Very good dedicated service and a nice à la carte option. I went there a few times in the past, so I could taste a few dishes, from the salmon tartare to the grilled salmon and the delicious croque-madame. Remarkable and well served, definitely a restaurant to experience when in Palm Beach.
