If you are a person who cares about their diet, the quality of their food and a huge selection of food types This is a wonderful place. If you want good service, I have never been anywhere where it's better than here. IF you want...a quiet place to talk..sit in the bar! :) I have scheduled parties here and they have been ongoingly admired and totally enjoyed. Not a misstep anywhere.More

Newly remodeled, CJ Cannon's remains one of Vero's most dependable spots for breakfast, lunch, or even a moderately priced dinner. Long-standing and competent wait staff. Owner is often the hostess. I've never had a bad meal there. Tile floor and wood ceiling make it a...bit noisy sometimes.More

I took my husband here for breakfast to celebrate his retirement. I’ve had breakfast here with friends and it was always excellent. Unfortunately, this time was not good. It took nearly an hour to get our breakfast and we were told it was because of...the “banquets” that were going on. Ok, that’s fine, I get it, but the breakfast was terrible. Everything except the eggs was almost burned. The hash browns and bacon were so hard I couldn’t eat them. My husband’s hash was almost burned. After waiting so long I wasn’t going to send it back, but I did bring it to the waitress’s attention when we were leaving. Again, she blamed it on the banquets. Very upsetting considering we paid full price for our breakfast and deserve the same quality food as those banquet guests, my husband said he’ll never return and I have to agree. Very poor customer service.More

I meet my sister and a friend at CJ Cannons, at 9:30am for breakfast! It was quit a distance from my home, But it was WELL worth it! The location and atmosphere was wonderful, over looking the airport. The menus was overwhelming, and everything looked...amazing! I chose a breakfast burrito, it was the best, and so large I had to bring 1/2 home! They have also serve lunch and dinners, and I will be heading back to try dinner!More

Consistent! This place is a gem…located at Vero Beach Airport, CJ Cannon’s is a fun restaurant. Aeronautic enthusiasts will appreciate the nostalgic decor and views. Patrons typically watch private plane arrivals. The setting is charming. Menu options include delicious home style comfort foods. Portions are...large…the Mahi and Prime Rib dishes are consistently good. Prices are fair, service is pleasant. Guests of VBIGetaway.com don’t miss an opportunity to dine here!More

We were looking for someplace that wasn't too expensive but also wasn't a chain restaurant. Saw the reviews and took a chance. We were served by Vicki, and she was an absolute delight - great recommendations, excellent service. I had the ribs and my wife...had the prime rib, and both were as good or better as any we had in the area. Easy parking, no wait on a Thursday evening at about 6:30pm. We will return the next time we visit the area.More

A recent drive to Vero Beach for house hunting required us to stop for an early 11 a.m. lunch. Not knowing any better (and not checking other TA reviews), we thought the website made CJ Cannon's look like a really nice, fine-dining option. Got that...wrong. The interior is done in heavy dark wood and looked to be stuck somewhere back in the 50's. The average age of the patrons was well over 70 and the waitresses were not far behind. The elderly lady who seated us complained about the high cost of cooking oil and how hard it was to get supplies but she would check and see if the crab cake sandwiches were available. Our poor server was frazzled most of the time. She forgot things, like bringing water, and became really defensive when we asked for it saying she can only do one thing at a time. I do believe she held it against us the entire time we were there. As for the food: I had the Mahi Mahi sandwich which came on a monstrously large blah-bun which dwarfed the fish. Another in our party (11 years old) got a chili dog, and the others had the crab cake sandwiches. Those crab cake sandwiches also came on super-sized buns. The onion rings and fried clams we ordered were good. All in all, the food was okay (not great, but decent). After reading other TA posts about watching for a built-in 20% tip, I would certainly watch my bill closer in the future (not that I anticipate there will ever be a future visit). Making that determination should be left up to the customer. As this was our first introduction to Vero Beach, it was living up to its reputation as a community of retirees (not that there is anything wrong with that). Fortunately, our realtor helped us see another side of Vero Beach. CJ Cannon's badly needs an update.More

Recommended by our Treasure Coast cruise captain. And a great find it was. Early dinner last Saturday. The place was busy but we were quickly seated and served. I appreciated the servers were all very friendly and efficient. Mask wearing amongst the servers was a...bit lax. The menu is huge and the food tasty. We will visit again on our next trip to Vero Beach.More
