The Top Restaurant in Venice - By Far

I have dined here at least 20 times in the last 10 years and have nearly always been 100 percent satisfied - with the meals, the ambience, the attentiveness of staff. My only regret is they do not take reservations but instead use a system called Call Ahead Waitlist. To get my top rating, they need... read more

This is the place for exceptional seafood. You know it's fresh. Two of our party had the seafood platter. Fresh grouper, gulf shrimp and scallops cooked to perfection in a light tempura batter. Hard to see how it could have been better. Our table overlooked the intercoastal waterway. Service was excellent too. Try the seafood bisque which comes with a... More

We managed to get the last outdoor table. Our server suggested many things (upselling in an animated way), some suggestions we took. 20 minutes later one entrée arrived (not both) and we asked for our appetizer. The waitress made good on it, but who knows how long our main dishes sat in the kitchen waiting? There is too much attitude... More

My wife and I enjoyed a leisurely Sunday afternoon meal on their 2nd story veranda recently. The view of the inlet coming in from the Gulf was great. Our server, Cathy O., was very patient and attentive. Our tasty Seafood Pies were topped with with pastry that seemed more tough than flaky, as if they had been microwaved. The clams... More

This restaurant had the best food!!! All three people at my table had fabulous meals!!! The fried Grouper was the best I've ever had but don't you dare leave without dessert. We had the white chocolate bread pudding with cranberries and a chocolate whip in a chocolate shell and cheesecake. The best part was that our server was Johnny on... More

The Crow's Nest Tavern (located downstairs from restaurant) has that good old" tavern atmosphere" we all love. Friendly staff, friendly patrons and excellent food choices. Our favorite is the Jumbo Fried Shrimp basket, but there are many excellent selections. Happy Hour, fresh popped popcorn, watch the games on TVs and enjoy the beer, wine, or cocktail, meet new friends! Arrive... More

We have eaten here almost every day and have never been disappointed. The service is great, and the bartenders are very good, prompt and great senses of humor-always a plus. Ate upstairs once, but much prefer the tavern atmosphere. Would recommend this place to anyone.

We were hesitant about visiting the Crow's Nest after reading some of the reviews about the lackluster service. We did visit and were very pleasantly surprised! On a busy day, we were seated in less time than indicated. Cindy, our waitress, was prompt, knowledgeable and genuinely friendly. She made more than one extra trip to the kitchen to ensure my... We have been there several times with friends. The food is okay, the prices are high, and the wait staff is barely friendly. They have a funny way of waiting on tables, two tables were seated after us, even after we had ordered and got their food before we did. The waiter walked past us without asking if we were... More

My husband and I had a delicious dinner at The Crow's Nest Marina Restaurant. The waiter was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended the seafood bouillabaisse to me and I was not disappointed. It was filled with clams, muscles, scallops, shrimp, and lobster over linguine with a saffron flavored broth. It was outstanding! My husband had the... More
