After a walk downtown Venice FL, we decided to have lunch at Daiquiry Deck, outside seating, didn't look too bad. The waitress was quick and friendly, no problem there. The only thing is when you order ribs, chicken strips and calamari, you usually expect a...full meal for each person. The waitress asked what side orders we wanted and we ordered FF, sweet potatoe fries and cole slaw. What she did not tell us was that the FF were an additional 7 dollars, the sweet pot fries were 8 dollars and the cols slaw was 4 dollars. So I was a little surprised when the bill came and we paid a total of $80 for a mediocre meal for 3 people, mostly made of CISCO pre-cooked and frozen ingredients. I will never go there again.More

Only because this place was convenient after a group walk did we frequent. Every time (and I do mean EVERY), the staff is horrible. Forever to be waited on, food comes out in bits and pieces, have to ask for cutlery/condiments. There are times when...our group has been the only customers, and still, the service is lousy. Stop hiring young, and inexperienced people, and train those you do hire for consistency, and the knowledge that without customers, there is no business.More

My husband and I love Daquiri Deck’s atmosphere and food! Tonight Caylee waited on us, and she was awesome!

Ordered some Bloody Mary's. As server, Yanina, was walking away she turned and said I will out a couple of shrimp on those. Acting like she was doing us a favor, When we did not object we thought that was nice. What she was really...doing was upgrading us to the "loaded" Maria Bloody Mary ..... $10.50 each. She tricked us! Should have said would you like the loaded it is only _____ more. Wonder is she is incented by management to sell these ... If so shame on them. Don't like this type of ADD - Up selling.More

Decided to explore Venice Florida. Stumbled upon a little joint called The Daiquiri Deck. Needless to say a kazillion different Daiquiri . Also had lunch with friends we all had a great variety from their menu and everything was ultimately delicious. However the best part...of the entire experience was our little waitress from New York her name is Caitlin she was very efficient sweet accommodating I would highly recommend that you come and experience this restaurant and ask for Caitlin and give her a big tipMore

Being new Florida residents my husband and I try to get out and find new places as often as possible...today we found ourselves in Venice. Daiquiri Deck caught our attention as it looked like such a fun place for lunch. Our server was great and...we loved our drinks...our lunch however was not great! I ordered the Lump Crab and Grilled Shrimp Cobb Salas...terrible!!! The shrimp had only been over grilled on one side, so the underside was an awful “raw” shade of gray...and the 1sr one I pulled off the skewer has not been deveined...yuck!!! The crab was watery which made the salad watery and the hard boiled egg yolk was a shade of green. I didn’t eat most of this salad. Sad as I was very excited for it...Florida seafood right!!! My husband has some sort of steak sandwich that was mediocre...it was literally a steak on a bun which was a challenge to eat. One would think the steak would be sliced right! Before our meal came we were looking at all the locations that we could go back too...but we won’t need be trying this restaurant again as there are too many great restaurants to give our money too!More

Have been wanting to try Daiquiri Deck for a bit because it’s always crowded. I had read the reviews and decided that happy hour drinks were the main reason to come here. I started with the Frosé and it was really good and not too...sweet. I decided to order a shrimp po boy with fries. After reading all the negative reviews, I didn’t have high expectations for the food. However, I was very pleased with my sandwich. The shrimp were fat with a light breading but not greasy. The fries were hot and crispy. My only complaint would be the bun was a tad hard on the ends. The server was very friendly and the live music was perfect for a rainy afternoon! I will definitely be back!More

Great atmosphere, however prices seem quite steep for the product and they have an extremely limited vegetarian menu. I’ve been around half a dozen times and quality service seems to lack as well.

We were on Venice Ave and decided to stop for a quick lunch. We were seated outside by an open entrance. It was very nice. Our waiter took our drink order, returned with the water and my wife's coke, and spent the next several minutes...splitting checks for a large group. Eventually, the bartender brought out drinks that had been sitting at the bar for too long. She asked which I had ordered. I told her Land Shark and she gave it to me and said, "If it's too warm I'll get you another". That was very nice, but I kept the one she brought. When she finished handing out the drinks we asked her if she could take our food order since our waiter was overwhelmed and we were on a tight schedule. As she was taking the order our waiter showed up and completed taking the order. Then, we waited, and waited. We finished our drinks, and waited. Finally, my wife caught the managers attention. we told him we had been waiting almost 50 minutes. He checked with the kitchen and told us that our order had been placed only 10 minutes ago and would be the next one prepared. We asked him to stop the order and get us a check. We had now been there almost an hour. He charged us for our drinks and treated us like we were the problem. We never saw our waiter. We have spent a lot of time in Venice for 30 years and this is the only place that is horrible. They do a great business, but don't go unless you plan to stay for a long time.More

Sunday, 3/14 for supper. I am sure that we would have had a hard time getting a table outside, had it not been the beginning of the social distance era. Fast service from a very attentive server. Good drinks, (happy hour with fruity drinks from...5-7 i believe). I had shrimp tacos, and my bride had coconut shrimp. Both were very good. Enjoyed the live music on the patio. Walked to Venice Beach, about 1/2 mile to watch the sunset.More
