I brought my girlfriend here for breakfast and we ordered two everything bagels with veggie cream cheese and we were asked if it was for "here, or to go"? We stated it was for here. We found a table and when our number was called,...I went up to get our food and it was in a to go bag. I politely reminded her that we were staying and she grabbed two baskets, stacked them, and dropped the bag in the top basket and handed it to me. I thought this was rude but I bit my tongue. We then noticed that the dream cheese was plain and not veggie. I went up with the order and politely reminded the lady that we ordered vegetable cream cheese. She told the other lady that out it together and that woman said something under her breath and shrugged her shoulders. Then I showed the receipt and pointed out that it said "flavored cream cheese" as I felt they were deflecting blame on to us. She then proceeded to actually scrape off the old cream cheese and replace it. At that time I questioned why she was scraping the old cheese off and trying to replace it as I felt that was not what should be done but toasting fresh bagels and doing it right this time. She claimed she had no everything bagels left and I pointed out there was a whole tray in the display. She insisted someone just bought them all. I said I'd like a refund and she said I'd have to wait. After 30 minutes of standing there watching her wait on customers, I called my bank and cancelled the transaction on my debit card. I will never again visit this place and the Health Department should investigate them.More

Before COVID we ate there almost every other weekend and a bagel or two throughout the week. I know it's my choice but I am appalled that no one behind the counter/handling food wears a mask. I guess business is that good still to deter...former customers not to come in and order.More

Good food but can't go back until the virus is well bebd us. I was very surprised to see the staff not wearing masks. Too risky to go there

I am not giving 1 star for the food. I am however complaining about their complete lack of responsibility, as they obviously have NO policy even remotely close to CDC guidelines for covid 19. Not 1 employee had a mask on. Not 1. It's bad...enough we have a state full of inconsiderate people when we go out to the supermarket, etc. But I refuse to give business to an organization that flips us off. Enter at your own risk.More

Great place to grab breakfast. They make their bagels fresh and offer a great variety. The coffee is good and their breakfast sandwiches are awesome.

Picked up some bagels one day and brought them home. Should have looked into the bag. Asked for pumpernickel and got poppy and those biali's not very good. Average at best, will never please those for up north.

I bought bagels here the other day thinking I finally found a good bagel place in Venice. They looked good in the case. Unfortunately, these bagels are so compact and hard I could hardly get a serrated knife through them and even eating them was...a chore. Bagels should be chewy on the inside, but not like these. They need to lighten up the flour in their recipe. I don't recommend them.More

Their bagels and pastries are Freshly(note the capital F) made on premise. Always friendly service and a great venue for observing one’s fellow man. Again I say - Don’t pass it by.

Cafe Bagel is a unique and tasty place to get a bagel. They have numerous choices and can pretty much put anything on a bagel for you. However, they frequently run out of bagels before closing time!!! Although they are open until 2pm, they run...out of bagels at about 10:30am, so if you are not ready to get up early and go, do not bother!More
