We arrived at the recommendation of friends and were not disappointed. Do not be in a hurry.... take your time and savor as much as you can on their exceptional menu! However, the bar is limited to beer and wine.

Back Eddy Bistro is a nice chef owned restaurant on Miami, one block over from Venice Avenue (the main street). Two sections, one side has a nice restaurant (not too full or empty when we went in the September off season). We both had their duck entree with properly cooked spinach, rice, etc. Very nice! 4 stars because it is... More

I never grow tired of the Back Eddy. It's one of the few restaurants in Venice that I visit regularly and without exception have NEVER been disappointed with quality, ambience or service. Located one street back from the Venice Avenue plethora of Italian eateries and world's apart on all counts. No, it's not a cheap eats, two-for-one type of restaurant.... More

My husband had the Cod special and I had the Pork tenderloin, both were delicious, The server was equally pleasant and accommodating. No complains about her treatment of us except for below. The reason for a 3... More

Great little bistro with the best food and great staff. Worth walking one block over from the main street.

Back Eddy Bistro sits at the end of Miami Ave, which is the street behind Venice Ave. Most people visit the restaurants on Venice Ave because its what they see. Well.... they have NO idea what they are missing!!!! My husband and I went to one of their scheduled Wine Dinners... 5 courses of heaven...coupled with fabulous wines that I... More

just OK food at an unreasonably high price. We were too late to get into Burgundy Square for dinner, just a few doors away, so stopped into this place. what a mistake!!
