We are proud to be Tierra Verde's Full-Service Deli offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dine-In, Carry-Out, or Third Party Delivery Services. Fresh cut deli meats and cheeses are also available by the pound. Hands down the BEST CHEESESTEAKS around and they are as authentic as the original masterpieces you will find coming out of South Philly! As Philadelphia transplants for almost 30years, the quest for a great cheesesteak has been ongoing. Look no further, this is it!! My husband and I stumbled upon this place while staying with our son during a home remodel. The fries are perfection. Just like boardwalk fries "down the shore". And the cheesesteaks are freaking unbelievable!? Almost puts Jim's, Pat's and Gino's to shame. I kid you not! They don't use Whiz, but don't let that stop you! EAT HERE!!

My favorite restaurant during our three day trip

This deli was our favorite place to eat during our three day stay in Pass-A-Grill and Tierra Verde. It's a simple deli with delicious sandwiches. I had the classic cuban. My wife had the reuben. Their specialty cheese dip was very good. While this was our favorite spot of the weekend, in general, there are not very many good places to eat in the area. It's all sandwiches, bar food and deep fried. I'd move this to the top of your list of places to eat in the area.

What’s not to like?

Good food. Friendly service. What’s not to like? I stopped by on my way home to pick up a BLT. Sure I could make it more self but it would T be as good. Tons of bacon, very fresh tomato and lettuce. Nicely toasted whole wheat bread. Love it. My husband meets his buddies for breakfast every week and we often go for a quick bite.

They dropped the ball

I ordered sandwiches and fries to go. Shame on them for putting out a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich on such incredibly stale bread. It was inedible I had to eat it with a fork, and throw away the bread. The side-winder fries were $4, and I received 4 of them. Am I the only one who thinks a dollar per french frie is a little expensive? I gave a rating of poor instead of terrible because I've eaten there when its good....but when I shared my experience with my friends, they told me that everyone has been commenting on how much the food has gone down hill lately. It'll be a long time before I dare eat there again. Next time, just tell me you're out of bread, instead of serve it on super stale bread.

Ok Food with Ok Service

Recently had lunch at Phila Deli. As I try new places some are winners, some are losers and some simply fall in between. In the case of Phila Deli is a spot that was not a true winner, not a true loser but somewhere in the middle. I was a bit surprised that most of the sandwich options did not come with any side items such as chips, fries, slaw etc. Secondly, I found attention to basic detail lacking meaning that I had to ask for silverware, ask for ketchup for my French fries etc. The food was ok but nothing outstanding. The Phily Cheese steak was more of a finely chopped selection of meat, onions and peppers with cheese stirred in. The handcut French fries were warm and soggy vs. hot and crispy. For a 6 inch sub, fries and drink it was $20 including tip.

It really is a good cheesesteak, including the rolls from Philly. But after the "bait and switch " we had, I'm not sure if we'll be back OR ever recommend it to anyone. The cheesesteak was $1 more on the bill than on the menu, and the "free" vegetables were charged at $1 /each?? When we questioned the "manager" (son of the family) who had to call "daddy", we pointed out small blurb on the menu that read "subject to change"! Really? Too lazy to print a new menu? It's not the price, it's the principle!

Every Time We Visit From Michigan

My Wife and I found this place 5 years ago and it was Amazing! Brought kids down the Next year and they cant stop talking about it. We tell Everyone its best Cheese Steak around. Every Visit we get them first day and at least once more! We flew in 2 years ago and were running late from Airport they were nice enough to give us a few more minutes to get there before we headed to Condo lol

Best Philly Sandwiches we've ever had!

We ate there after paddling with Get-Up-&-Go clear bottom kayaking and visiting DeSoto State Park's North Beach, and before visiting Billy's Loft (terrific open air bar with quite the view) to celebrate a great day. The meat was perfect (not one iota of grizzle) and the cheese was awesome!
