Had a wonderful lunch out on the deck. The kale caesar salad is amazing! Chicken tacos were flavorful, had plenty of chicken, and all you can eat price of $10.99 was a bonus! The weekly email specials are always wonderful and the neighborhood days are a very nice way to give back to the locals. Thirsty Thursday is a fun way to welcome the end of the week and the drinks are yummy! Love the ability to come by car or boat.

Overlooking beautiful Lk, Eustis, w/ outside or inside seating available, clean,w/ delicious food (EVERYTHING is good!) Friendly, fast, efficient service, w/ cardboard (not foam!) take-out containers (if you happen to have any left-overs!) I always have to have the smoked wahoo dip w/ fried tortilla chips; the burgers are cooked to order w/ a nice "char" on the outside. The new steak nachos are very tasty; the coconut shrimp is some of the best I've ever had. All the seafood dishes are good. Weekday lunches, 11-2 a nice salad + cup of soup is complimentary. Give them your email address for special "insider deal" offers. I go @ once a week. M. E. Harris

I am retired and live in the supper size retirement community called “ The Villages” in Florida. We are always looking for new places to eat where the food is good and the prices are even better. The Fish Camp serves some of the best seafood I had in central Florida. I would not be traveling 25 miles ( 40 minutes) if this was not true. They run specials every day of the week and if you join there club the special get even better. The appearance is very rustic and it’s located on Lake Eustis. Great view at sunset. The wait staff are friendly and efficient.

We have been eating at this restaurant for quite a few years now. I love fried fish and we go on Fridays for the all you can eat fish which we have seen go from $9.95 to $11.95 and today were shocked to see it at $13.95. Nonetheless, that is what we ordered. Let me start out by saying we had reserved a table outside on the patio at one end to stay as far away from others as possible. Had we not done so, we would have left as there were the same number of tables as before the corona virus and they certainly were not six feet apart. Further, none of the staff had on masks or gloves. Had there not been a real heavy breeze, we also would have left. Overall, we did not feel as safe as we should have. Our first plate of fish, accompanied by a good amount of fries and a tasty cole slaw, came out fairly quickly. We were surprised to see only two small pieces of fish that combined would be about the size of one filet at Long John Silvers. So, we asked the man that brought the food to put in a refill on the fish right away. About 15 minutes later, we finally saw our waitress, the first time since we ordered 25 minutes earlier. She asked if we needed anything and I told her about having ordered a refill on the fish and it had not come yet. She said she would check on it. Another 10 minutes went by when she came back and asked if we got the refill yet. We said “no” and I made it very clear we were not happy. Another few minutes went by when the manager finally came out with 2 small pieces of fish for each of us. Rather than apologize or offer us something for this ridiculously long wait, he argued with us and was full of excuses. At this point, I had all I could take considering the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. I told him to cancel the all you can eat and charge us for what we had: two tiny pieces of fish, the fries, and the slaw. We were shocked, to say the least, when it came to $11.99 each. I questioned him and the manager confirmed that is what they serve for a regular fish dinner at the $11.99. Talk about a rip-off. We will definitely not return.

It was Valentine’s Day and the hostess asked if we had reservations as they had over 250 for that evening. Even though I said no, she was able to get us a nice booth as we were there just minutes ahead of the expected crowd. We skipped the V-Day specials and opted for our usual, the all you can eat fish with fries and slaw. Our waitress, Avery, was right there and took our order on her electric pad so it was immediately transferred to the kitchen. So, it was only minutes until our food came out. The fish, as always, was cooked perfectly with a light batter on the outside and moist and flaky on the inside. The large amount of fries were great as was the cole slaw. By the time we finished our first order, the restaurant was totally packed. Despite that, Avery was very efficient in checking with us and our extra orders of fish came out promptly. There was none of this long waiting between orders as is so common with auce places. We left fully satisfied with both the food and the service.

We visited the Fish Camp for Saturday dinner. I chose the 1/2 pound of shrimp, steamed with Old Bay. I opted for a double kale salad as my 2 veggies. Everything was very good. The salad was served quickly and was very fresh and crisp with a parmesan ceasar dressing and sprinkled with fresh grated parmesan cheese. If you like fresh kale, it was exceptional! I had ordered it before and really enjoyed it, which is why I ordered it as a double veggie. The steamed shrimp was seasoned and cooked perfectly (thankfully NOT over cooked or tough. A real treat) My husband chose a fried soft crab dinner with a cole slaw side. He also added a cup of MD crab soup for a starter. The crab soup tasted exactly as we remembered while living in MD! It was terrific! The fried soft crab had a lite, perfectly seasoned batter (which was a good complement to the crab). It wad fried perfectly and was very good. He was also quite happy with his meal. One side comment, the front seating area of the restaurant is next to the bar (but not a TOTALLY divided room.) The restaurant is very casual and doesn't have any sound buffers, i.e., rugs or curtains, and several of the patrons were very loud. We chose to sit in the back seating area (a really good decision)! That seating area was very pleasant. There is also deck seating available with a view of the inlet cove. We will definitely go back again.

For the full effect, dine out on the deck (away from the road if possible). Accoring to the sgin most of the food is locally sourced. Three of us had an appetizer of coconut shrimp, very good. I moved on to the Maryland Crab soup. Good flavor but a little on the "fishy" tasting side for me. I moved on to the tacos with blackened gator meat - excellent (taste like chicken only better)! Wife had the encrusted Mahi was equally as good but she seemed more intersted in the hushpuppies. Her mother had the standard fish and chips, and she was pleading with me to help her finish (she managed to eat the order herself) I'm assuming it was good. Service was great but the deck is warn and in serious need of a power wash (part of the ambiance - after all it is a fish camp). Over all a good experience.

Party of 4, 3 ordered the all you can eat Friday fish special. We were seated quickly and service was excellent. Reorders of fish were quickly filled, sometimes without having to ask. I had mahi tacos which were equally good.

We've been to Fish Camp many times and it is now my favorite. My wife is not big on seafood and she ordered the sirloin steak and it was wonderful (taste and texture). I have had the coconut shrimp several times and next Monday I will be there to sample the crab cake dinner. Even if you are not a kale lover, you should try their thinly cut kale salad and it is a good place to sample the shaved brussel sprouts as your sides. BTW, my margarita was one of best I've had here in Lake County.

1st time dining here. Came for lunch. Seated immediately. Order arrived fast and hot! Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Swamp Soup was quite tasty. I especially appreciate Fish Camp buys fresh produce and beef from local businesses.

Chefs create unique tasting meals and often deliver the food themselves to your table. I appreciate how they work with local farmers to serve fresh, local ingredients. Every menu item I have tried is wonderful and priced fairly. I didn't care for my drinks from the bar and they were inconsistently made--all refills did not taste the same. We had one server who we hope to avoid in the future (she was not efficient on a slow day), but all others have been wonderful.

We used to drive by this place when it was pretty run down but seeing it had new life we decided to try it. We were expecting all fried food but wow what a nice selection of farm to table choices. I had the fish tacos and my wife had the crab cake (no filler, all crabmeat) and a garden salad of fresh baby greens. Both were excellent and the service was terrific. They offer full bar service. Daily food and drink specials. Reasonable prices too. Oh it sits right on the water. Try it, you'll like it.

I have been going there since it opened and food & value keeps getting better & better. Years before Fish Camp opened several restaurants opened their doors at this location. Before my dad passed away this was our little retreat, sitting outside for lunch (when we would make our shopping run to Home Depot), and have lunch, he with his Heineken and I with my Margarita. We sure would get back home full of energy and enthusiasm ready to continue working on our project. Mom never knew of our 2 stop shopping. So I am glad and grateful Fish Camp not only opened but, excellent reconstruction, food, drinks, and the lakeview to fully enjoy nature at its best. I recently took Mom for lunch here and confesed of my Dad and my retreats here when we would leave home to go on our shopping runs. This now is my Mom's and my retreat to have lunch on the the outdoors to enjoy a sunny Lakeview Serene day. If you want to take a breather and quick break from your busy hectic day This is your spot!!! Not only great lunch and drinks but, a mental recharge for those I can't take it days. Enjoy!!!

This visit was our 3rd time. My daughter & I came up for a relaxing meal. I had gotten a special "guy one entree, get one half off" special for signing up for their emails & because it was Raw Bar Wednesday, when they feature clams & oysters. I love craw clams and was not disappointed! They gave one extra (baker's dozen), they were super fresh & served with lemon wedges, cocktail sauce, extra horse radish & melted butter. I got Shrimp and Fries. My daughter got the Seafood Trio. Both meals were excellent. Service here is amazing...everyone pitches in...your waiter, someone passing by, the owners. Right on the water. Very nice people! Highly recommend.

This restaurant was given a terrible in my last review, while in the past, all my reviews were excellent. And, I was really hoping I could give this place another excellent. Unfortunately, while the food was all excellent, the service left a lot to be desired. We had called ahead to make a reservation for 8 people and wanted to sit outside. When we arrived, we were not asked our name and were told to sit anywhere we wanted. So, we not only had to put tables together ourselves but could have taken the tables we had allegedly reserved. It took the waitress 4 times to our tables before I got the Splenda I asked for when first ordering my iced tea. Then, with the restaurant nearly empty, there was absolutely no reason for our first refill on the all you can eat fish to take about 25 minutes to arrive. I asked “Did you have to catch the fish before bringing our refills”. Finally, when we first were ordering, I told our waitress that my meal and my wife’s were complimentary thanks to the generosity of the owner. Of course, when we got the bill, the waitress had forgotten about it and had our meals on the bill as well. We will return because the food is really good. I just hope that in the future the service will be as good as the food and the restaurant earns another excellent from me.
