I ate here 5 times over three days. I was in town for business and had three business lunches here then came back for dinner twice. The food was excellent - definitely a notch above. The service was attentive but they are a little short-handed. I would definitely return.

Typical hibachi grill, this one has pretty good sushi too.
The kids are always amused and that leaves the adults to be free to talk about other stuff without having to be after them.
The rice was salty. Steak was good.

While hibachi entertainment is always the same, their seafood quality is really bad and I’m surprised we didn’t get sick off the shrimp, scallops or calamari served on the grill. Maybe because it was cooked to the consistency of rubber. The fried rice tasted good but you probably don’t want to pay $25 per person for fried rice. Also, the bathrooms are disgusting, especially the men’s.

An amazing time! Staff, food, price and everything in between. Made reservation and had direct communication with the owner who spoke with us before during and after to make sure we were well taken care of. A lot of Hibachi options but this was the best! Highly recommend!

Unbelievable service and hospitality! Just what parents and kids needed after long day on soccer field. An exciting and entertaining dinner with flexible hosts supporting their customers. Can’t recommend this place enough. Food was excellent!

Loved this place, and the name seemed funny which is actually why we picked it instead of other nearby places. The staff was polite and fun, the atmosphere was friendly and the food was good! Loved watching our food get cooked and we got a bit of sake poured straight in our mouths - OOOOH...LAWD HELP! It was for a friends birthday celebration, and they brought her out a dessert and made a big fuss singing and such. Overall great experience, and I had SO much leftovers.... came in handy for a 2am "snack".

As a solo traveler and frequent user of the Tampa (FL) International Airport, I have occasion to stay overnight at one of the local hotels. While there recently, I discovered Kuchi Sushi & Hibachi restaurant located within a five-minute ride from the Comfort Inn & Suites Hotel on West Waters Ave. This restaurant offers Sushi and wonderful Hibachi dishes in a very clean, comfortable and welcoming environment. Especially enjoyable is the bar at which, as a single traveler, I very much appreciated. The food was excellent and the staff very attentive and professional. I now consider it a "must do" when staying in Tampa.

Was staying close by and the reviews looked good so I stopped in. Not much to look at from the outside but the sushi and sashimi combo dinner I had was really good and a fair price.

I have been coming here for a couple of years but am just now writing a review. I am a regular when ir comes to hibachi style eateries and still think this one is the best one around. The prices are on par or better for similar establishments and it is a clean restaurant. The staff is friendly and the chefs interact as expected. The kicker is that the chefs here are actually funny, especially Tanaka.

First, Tanaka , our chief is terrific! He epitomizes the Japanese Hibachi restaurant tradition of entertainment and great food! Early bird special made it affordable for 5!

Excellent shrimp and scallops with broccoli and asparagus. Service is a bit slow but the food was worth it. Worthy of a visit if you are not in a time crunch
