Went in for two drinks, wings and Cuban. Each drink was $8 during happy hour. Wings came after Cuban sandwich was eaten. Poor service and unresponsive kitchen about delay. Go to Ybor often but not there.

We had a wonderful, local food experience at Gaspar's Grotto. I had the long pork sandwich, and it was excellent! Reasonably priced, tons of food, fun pirate atmosphere.

Wife and I enjoyed a Saturday afternoon meal with cocktails and relaxing acoustic music. I had the Cuban Sandwich which was good. I noted they had an interesting variety of wings (peanut butter and jelly being one flavor) but I wasnt feeling too adventurous that day. I will return for the wings soon though. Our server was not very attentive... More

Never had their food, their drinks are good and have good drink specials. The variety of music in the evenings is great. You have a mixture of music and crowds. It can be very busy so waiting for a drink takes some times but overall a good hang out.

This place is named for the infamous Hose' Gaspar the pirate who captured Tampa. Nice place to eat and have a drink.

My wife had the Buffet Alone for $ 16.95 pp. Food was plentiful, fresh and delicious. As soon as an item started get low the station was immediately refilled. I experienced my first "Cuban Sandwich" and enjoyed it very much. It reminded me of the days I lived in Puerto Rico. The decor as well as the Latin music made... More

Gaspar's Grotto is well worth a visit if you're ever in Ybor. Very old-school kind of bar with loads of character and a good atmosphere.

Our daily enjoyed a great lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. The sandwiches were huge and our three kids (17, 15, 11) each found something they liked on the menu. The Long Cuban Sandwich was terrific. This is a great experience in Ybor City.

After exploring Ybor City's neighborhoods, checking out all the the cigar rolling establishments and looking at the cool 19th century residences, warehouses and social clubs this is a good place to drown a cold one and eat a delicious Cuban sandwich on a Cuban-style bun. Kid-friendly, service is efficient.

We are best known for our signature Hog Wild Pirate Party and pig roast which we hold outside on the 6,300 square foot tropical patio, complete with fountains and tropical palms. Guests at Gaspar's Grotto can look forward to great food, wonderful times and excellent and eclectic service from costumed pirates. We offer pirate shows, pirate souvenirs, cigar rolling, live music, a shoe shine emporium, and bawdy serving.
