We had a wonderful lunch on Monday. Tyler, our waiter, did a great job in taking care of us and making sure everything was fine. We started with cocktails and tea. Then lobster/crab bisque soup. My wife had their Verlasso shrimp, with rice and asparagus....I had their shrimp tacos. Our bill was $96 before tip. Yea, a bit expensive, but the view of the water is worth the price of admission.More

I've been wanting to eat here for awhile and it was good. I need to give it one more shot to say it was great. I made reservations but we got there when it opened before it got busy and sat outside. Valet doesn't run...everyday so if valet isn't available then you can self park in the valet or in the self parking area. I started with a dozen oysters which were really good. They rotate their oysters daily. The baked oysters were delicious and they use bigger oysters for that dish. I then had their burrata salad which I felt was lacking. The tomatoes were a little mushy and the pesto I felt needed to be showcased because it was delicious. After that I followed with the mussels which were a little cold and the broth was good but not the best I've ever had. Our service was good but our server had way to many tables and was the bartender. They really needed help. I'd try this spot out one more time to see if I have a better experience.More

Before the pandemic, Oystercatchers had the best Sunday buffet brunch in town. Now you order off the menu. We ordered the seafood Tower. $145. Worth about $45. Lobster tails (from Florida, not Maine) were tasteless. Several large and not fresh shrimp. Raw oysters on the...half shell. Hmm, are saltine crackers a big ask? They brought sweet rolls, so I ordered coffee. Came cold. Total for 4 adults, 1 teen, 1 seven year old: $375, not counting tip. Save your money; this is not the Oystercatchers that you remember.More

We come here a couple of times a year (probably more), mainly because the food is always good, but service can be a little (or a lot) snotty. However when we were here for Easter brunch we had a wonderful waitress Diane K who immediately...understood we like it casual and enjoy our food and drinks. She was also great managing fact that we had two little kids with usMore

The menu is very good. The problem I had with everyone who also had the crab Benedict is the refs were over done. I sent mine back and this time the eggs over cooked and cold. Several other meals seem to be ok. The avocado...toast was on rye toast and there were raisins in the bread.More

We ended up going about an hour early. The hostess told us we could grab cocktails and walk around if we liked to check out the property. I am so glad we did. The Old Fashion was really nice and my wife had a margarita...that was very good. We grabbed our cocktails and found 2 chairs on the end of a dock, it was absolutely beautiful. We saw a few sharks and some Dolphins. The hostess sat us outside and it was such a beautiful setting. The oysters and shrimp cocktail was so good. You must get the scallops, as they were cooked perfectly. I loved that dish overall. My wife got the seafood trio and it was equally as great. Service was on point and very helpful with his recommendations. Overall we had an excellent experience.More

Oystercatchers has some items that are decent , like crab cakes or the Seafood trio. But others that fail. The Lobster Mac and cheese is awful… dry, little cheese and no real flavor. The Brussels sprouts are sautéed and have so much oil in them...I had to eat bread to neutralize my stomach . Really miss Armanis Which the hotel closed but had much better food. Overall 1 star , for nice service and some ok items. Underwhelming!!!More

Pretty poor experience. Cocktails were very weak. Asked them to make a Vesper Martini and although the waiter asked for the recipe - the result was not great. Raspberry mojito was weak tasting. Margarita was also poor. Gin and tonic was ok ish. Starters were...oysters, calamari and poke. Calamari was very good, poke was average, oysters were a disaster. First of all whoever shucked them needed a lesson in how to shuck oysters as they looked like they had been in a road accident which is rather off putting. Hint we eat with our eyes too. One of them was soo bad it smelt like sewers how this got past the shucker is beyond me. Needless to say after experiencing this oyster my partner lost all her enthusiasm to try anymore - me too. The manager came over after this was reported by the waiter (who was very good) and offered to reshuck some more oysters- we declined. The attitude the manager exhibited was not cari g and did not inspire confidence. Main courses were chargrilled seafood trio which was ok, pan fried king scallops with squash purée and mushrooms and fried leeks again ok but hardly fine dining. Finally blackened seared tuna which was very good. We had a side of king pain Brussels sprouts which very good Desserts - key lime pie advertised as the best in the Bay Area - I dread to think what the rest taste like as the key lime was very weak and the cream topping tasted synthetic. The waiter brought us a complementary sticky toffee pudding - this was much better with real cream which tasted like cream. To sum up, a poor experience.More

Delicious view, delicious food a very nice venue. Many nice signature drink choices. Try the many sea food dishes or pork preparations and don’t forget dessert. All this while enjoying beautiful bay views.

The view here alone is worth the price of admission but said price is hefty to say the least. In their defense we had lots of drinks & ordered the most expensive menu items but I was still a little shocked from the cost. Nonetheless...the food was delicious & id be comfortable in stating that this place is a must when visiting/living in Tampa. We had the lobster bisque (which needed much more lobster) oysters, steak, whole lobster, jasmine rice, veggies & lobster Mac & all of it was tasty. I have zero complaints in regards to food & service.More

Visited here with my family, including my uncle on his 89th birthday. It was very good, but I wouldn't call it great. The atmosphere is very open, which also means it's loud. I like the energy that provides but my wife didn't--different people approach the...open seating concept differently. Our appetizers were good--oysters, lobster bisque, crab cakes--except for shrimp cocktail. The shrimp weren't fully chilled, like they'd been warm previously, and somewhat tasteless. Our main courses were good, my uncles had green beans with his that were not fully cooked, candidly they may have been meant that way and he just wasn't expecting that. It's a pricey place so I guess I expected to be absolutely blown away--like I said, very good but not great.More

We had excellent fresh oysters, mimosas and petite pastries for desert. I had a delicious lobster omelet and my husband the pork carnitas tacos. Of course, we tried everything and I found the lobster fresh and seasoned perfectly. The pork carnitas had a nice amount...of heat and savory together.More

For the price, this place didn't exactly blow me away. I don't know what it is, but fancy restaurants tend to fail to season their food adequately. It's like they're trying to make sure we notice the subtleties of the food, but it often ends...up bland. My father really enjoyed his seafood, and I agreed that his entree was much better than mine. For 28 bucks, I got like 4 oz of underseasoned grouper, three asparagus stalks, and a lump of rice. Don't get the grouper; get the grilled lobster, shrimp, and scallop trio. All that said, the sticky toffee dessert was amazing.More
