Fantastic food! Their hot sauce is the yummiest! Service is always slow, but doesn't seem to matter.

The Sangria Tinto is excellent and the paella a la Valencia is the best paella I have had outside of Spain.

The Columbia is one of our favorites. Most are full restaurants but this one is a cafe with the same great food but not the full menu. Certainly worth the visit as we still got our favorite dishes with a relaxing water view.

Very good food, very crowdy. It was a must being there Monday for dinner, but be prepared to wait some time for your table. It worth the wait.

4 girls out on the town, we ALL loved it! Our waiter, Roberto, was awesome, fun, and entertaining. We sat outside looking out at the beautiful view..water, boats...it was a perfect. We ordered a pitcher of Mohito, gaspasho, and a 3 tier tapas appetizer. (Calamari, a pork dish, and a lightly breaded chicken...) This had to be my favorite place... More

I had great seafood. The scallops were perfectly cooked, the flavour was awesome, the portion was more than generous and the quality all round was great. Try their seafood signature dish, you will love it.

If you are there in a month with an "r" in it, have the stone crab claws. Love them with melted butter! And the black bean soup is a must! In all the times I've been there, these are the only 2 things that I've ever had cuz I love them so much that I can't bear to have anything... More

So glad a colleague recommended this restaurant. The food was amazing. We had the Mahi-Mahi Cubano sandwich, the black bean soup, the cubano sandwich and the chicken Caesar salad. Oh yeah and a slice of key lime pie. Everything was amazing. All the plates were clean when we finished. We also had plantain chips which were so good. Two members... More

Open 365-days a year, including all holidays. Serving lunch and dinner daily. Reservations accepted. Children's menu available. In addition to award-winning Spanish/Cuban cuisine, Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City features Flamenco dance performances nightly, Monday - Saturday. There is no show on Sunday. The Café offers live jazz Tuesday through Saturday. The Hernandez Gonzmart family has been making restaurant history since 1905 when they opened their landmark Columbia Restaurant in Tampa's Historic Ybor City, which today is Florida's Oldest RestaurantSM. Today, 4th & 5th generation family members work hard to preserve the family's legacy that their great-grandfather Casimiro Hernandez, Sr. created over 111 years ago when he opened the Columbia as a corner café frequented by local cigar workers. Casual attire is fine, but we don't allow sleeveless shirts on men. Our guests enjoy many of the same century-old family recipes that have made the Columbia famous like Paella "a la Valenciana," Snapper "Alicante" Pompano en Papillot, The Original Cuban Sandwich, and Filet Mignon "Columbia". Don't miss Columbia's Original "1905" Salad(R), prepared tableside with our delicious, freshly-made dressing, a family recipe of fresh garlic, oregano, wine vinegar and Spanish extra virgin olive oil. Enjoy an ice cold pitcher of Sangria or Mojitos, or sample a fine Spanish wine like Montecillo or Campillo from our award-winning wine list.
