Excellent Chinese Take-Out; Very Reasonable Prices

We live in North St. Pete / Gateway area just 5 minutes to Gandy Bridge. We have exhausted all the Chinese restaurants that deliver to us as we tried to find a good one. We then tried take out at those further away. The food was extremely disappointing and in some cases terrible from all these places. We have seen this restaurant many times as we return home from Tampa via the Gandy bridge. The other day we said let's try it as it is not any further away than the places we tried in St. Pete. So we did. We ordered the PuPu Appetizer for Two, Hot & Sour Soup, Pork Mei Fun and the Hot Spicy Roast Pork Combination Plate that included Pork Fried Rice and a choice of Soup / Egg Roll or Soda. It was a 20 minute drive home and everything was still piping hot when we got there. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The PuPu platter was huge and included items that were not even mentioned on the menu. It included 2 egg rolls, 4 chicken wings, 2 krab rangoon, 2 chicken terriyaki, 2 fried shrimp, 2 BBQ ribs and 2 fried won ton. My Hot Spicy Roast Pork came extra spicy as a requested which is impressive as most Chinese restaurants will not make something extra spicy even if asked. The dish was a bit too sweet tasting for my liking. Nothing bad about it. Just not what I like so I would get something different next time. If you spend over $25, not including lunch specials, you can get a choice of 3 Pork Egg Roll, Fried Krab Rangoon, Quart of Wonton Soup or 2 Liter Soda for free. If you spend over $40.00 you can get Sweet & Sour Chicken, General Tso's Chicken or Honey Chicken for free. We ordered the Quart of Wonton Soup. The broth was absolutely one of the best we ever had and the whole container was full of wontons so they did not skimp on anything just because it was for free. We wouldn't say this is the best Chinese food we have ever had but it certainly rates up there and "is" the best we have had compared to the St. Pete places. We definitely recommend and we will return!

Good food, reasonable prices

This is mainly a takeout restaurant. I love their Hot and Sour soup, Egg Fu Yung, and other dishes. Call ahead and they'll have it ready for you to pick up.

Ok But Not As Good As Prior Visits

It has been a few months since we last had take out from here. They have increased their prices and no longer offer a free item with a $25+ purchase. Guess you can't blame them as everyone is trying to survive as inflation is impacting the price of everything including food. This time the food was just average unlike previous visits when we found it to be outstanding. Time to start searching again to find a Chinese restaurant that is reasonably priced and serves consistent excellent dishes. Unfortunately, we have nearly exhausted all the places within a reasonable distance of north St. Pete / Gandy area and have yet to find one. While this one was in South Tampa, it was a mere 15 minute drive from where we live in St. Pete.
