We stopped in to get diner and walked in the middle of a worker getting nasty with a couple who were obviously not happy with their food. Small and local, and the service and food are excellent. My wife loves the combination platter, while I'm partial to the catfish and mullet. If you have room, definitely get some pie. Well worth regular visits!

Looking for great seafood this is the hidden place to try. The grilled shrimp was perfect with cheese grits, slaw (real slaw) and the hushpuppies all to perfection. Good portions for a great value!

The Fisherman's Wife is a hidden gem in Tallahassee. The food is fresh, and super tasty! I ordered the grilled grouper plate which came with cheese grits, hushpuppies, fried potatoes, and cole slaw. We have eaten there several times, each time hoping the recommendations of friend are right. But! Seafood is bland. Last time I ate there I had tasteless fish, runny instant grits and hushpuppies that were so undercooked they smeared on my palate. I had a nice lunch with family. The shrimp was battered and tasty, and the hush puppies were fresh but simple. My mother said her crab cakes were amazing. Beer and wine are available, order extra since hot sauce is available. We didn’t have dessert.

We just visited for our 10th time and have not been let down yet. The grilled grouper was as good as it gets! If you like shrimp there is none better, don't even think about going to the chain restaurants. No fancy huge building, just...good Florida seafood. Save some room, Grab some dessert and you will leave blissfully happy! Whst a value!More

I am in town for a sports event and was in the mood for some hometown eats. I wanted the oyster basket but they didn't have any. So I just got the shrimp basket which comes with fries, cole slaw, and cheese grits. The food...was just "ok". Nothing to really brag about. The portions were good and the shrimp were a nice size. On a Saturday night, they were out of Grouper and CrabCakes. The Blackened Cod that was served was really catfish I suspect. The sides were lukewarm at best. While they use to have great fresh seafood, it seems the "kids" have taken over the management....Service, quality and quanity is going downhill fast. Will have to find another go to seafood location in Tallahassee.More

A great value. Not much in the way of atmosphere, but if you are looking for some well prepared tasty fish. this is the place. A great value. And you don't need to fight parking as there is a lot right out front.

Tiny little place, but a nice relaxed atmosphere. Staff is friendly. Food is tasty. I recommend lunch, and very reasonably priced. Try the crab cakes, but then are only available Thursday to Saturday.
