We attended a seminar with dinner included at Food Glorious Food. There was food, but nothing glorious about our dining experience. Service was very spotty and rushed. I ordered a house salad with sesame balsamic dressing on the side...the dressing was way overly spicy and...very vinegary, pretty awful. I had the "caramelized" salmon, and asked for a side of collard greens instead of mashed potatoes. My plate arrived with the salmon sitting on collard greens with both swimming in a fiery hot, bright red, inedible hot pepper sauce (not just a little, but a lake of extra hot pepper sauce). What the ???? I dumped the salmon on my bread plate and asked a server if I could have just collard greens. She said she would get some, but never reappeared. My husband ordered.the steak, which was over cooked, and no steak knife. Our water glasses were not refilled until we found a random server and asked for more water. The main dining room of FGF is down an outside stairway in.a fairly bare, dimly lit room. The "ambiance" is like having dinner in someone's unfinished basement. We will definitely not be back.More

Tasty food in a strip mall. Restaurant has lots of space. Nice outdoor seating. Food is delicious and unique. Cocktails are flavorful. Service is also very good.

We were traveling through and the name was cute, so searched and found it hidden on the backside of a little shopping area. Outside table at dinner time was nice but in sun, so be careful if it's a hot day. We were brought the...wrong appetizer---chunks of fish---and were told to enjoy them complimentary. They were delicious as were the crispy oysters we DID order. The fried clams were a little over-breaded, and the mac and cheese was more cheddary than Kraft-like, if that's your preference.More

Another great celebration in the books, as we attended another birthday party like we have done two dozen times before at FGF!! They always accommodate in advance!! We were in the main dining area this time, on a Sunday night (hard to find Sunday dining...in Tallahassee!). Choosing a Solid wine off there still a little slender wine list, but at a great price!! Our party of 14 ordered widely, with a variety of appetizers, covering 75% of the menu, and not one complaint and all praise!! The service was excellent, knowledgeable, very friendly and fast, working in teams to deliver food!! Great pace for the delivery, water glasses regularly refreshed, Mothers, grandmothers, and babies were accommodated!! You cannot go wrong with any item on the menu, but I would highly recommend their pan seared grouper over collard greens and grits, classic FGF, and anything that has their delicious bacon!! Don't forget desert's, again you can't go wrong, but try the carrot cake or anything chocolate!! I noticed a reviewer complaining about the Art not being very good at FGF, and I suppose that is very true. But I do think it is pretty awesome that the Chef is the artist, and he is hanging his OWN art in his OWN restaurant, so phooey on youey....!! Frankly, I agree... he is a better chef than artist!! Haha!! Anyway, enjoy FGF, you can't go wrong with this hidden gem and these great people!!More

My husband and I tried FGF yesterday and I was expecting greatness. My first impression of the interior was very depressing, so brown, so dark but not in a good cozy way, just dark. The artwork was really poorly chosen and only added to the...darkness. The right side of the back wall was painted a lovely shade of blue....perhaps think about that color on all the walls??? Tallahassee is such a beautiful city and there is so much available in the area of nice art. I could only imagine how much more pleasant the interior would be if the walls were covered in bright, colorful artwork but alas, that was not the case. I did love the comfortable booth seating (more brown) and our server was really excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. I ordered the meatloaf which was absolutely delicious, accompanied by a potato cake, which was okay but should have been crispier in my opinion. My husband had salmon which he described as fine, not the highest praise from his lips. (In his humble opinion, the salmon at Sage is fabulous.) For dessert we ordered the bread pudding and it was good but it was far from the best I've had and I would not order it again. I will definitely try FGF again but hoping for a better overall feeling.More

The menu looks great but the execution of some of the dishes wasn't so hot. My lamb sliders were way overcooked. My salad dressing was ok. The potato and leak soup was WONDERFUL! I could have eaten a pot of it. My wife got what...she thought was pecan crusted trout but was pecan smoked trout which is a whole different fish and a whole different taste. Her mistake. We both decided we'd go back and try other things on the menu. Sometimes all you need is one dish you really love. For me it was the soup.More

This was my first time eating jire though my wife remembered it fondly from a few years ago when she lived here. We shared grouper cheeks and fried quail, both small plates, a side of cheese grits and a ceasar salad. The food was excellent...with soft lighting, traditional jazz soundtrack, and fine service. We saved room for dessert and got the brioche bread pudding. The dessert was good but we felt a real whiskey sauce would have been preferable to the glaze or icing on it. I recommend it and we will eat here again.More

We went for lunch today. I had the Mac and Cheese, he had the Shrimp and Grits, we shared a side of mushrooms. The Shrimp and Grits were in a tomato creole sauce that is not my style, still good. The mushrooms were very good...and my Mac and Cheese was very good. We will return.More

My husband and I found ourselves on the north side of Tallahassee Tuesday due to a rescheduled doctor’s appointment. We had a couple of hours to kill and decided to treat ourselves to a nice lunch. We had heard of FGF but had never been....We both enjoyed one of our favorites; delicious Cobb Salads. We scanned the dining room as plates were delivered and saw so many great looking dishes we decided we would come again soon.More
